Get An Education And Don't Waste Time Here
You can do a lot more with your life if you're willing to buckle down somewhere and pay for your education yourself and learn a trade or even get a business degree or some other degree than working in this sorry cesspool. After I got my degree I gladly left the organization and I wouldn't work there if they gave me major job promotion. The people there on the floor doing the work are hit and miss though there is a good deal of racial animosity at the organization along with a lot of the employees there having a chip on their shoulder. The management at this place is a total laughingstock from people in Human Resources that shouldn't even be employed in those jobs to the Production Management and Supervisors many of whom ought to be sweeping the floor. It hasn't changed over the years either. Get an education, work hard, play harder and make something out of your life instead of wasting it away in a nondescript bubba infested town. Oh and one more thing if you're really smart get out of Salem, Indiana because its a BIG LOSER of a town.

Good atmosphere
Good people with decent work schedule. Could use more improvements, but all in all, pretty good place to work with great benefits compared to other companies.

Difficult place to work
Tier 1 automotive is a tough place to work. When I was there we laid people off and hired them back as fast as customer orders rose and fell. Hope they have a new team managing the place.

Many Layers
Company has many layers and sometimes struggles to make effective and quick decisions. They could focus more on their technical abilities to build their products.

Great place to work
Well paying job opportunity to move to other positions , plenty of overtime. You can work up to seven days a week. You have to balance working a lot of hours with your home life. Fast paced work environment. Must be able to work in the heat in some areas and a lot of heavy lifting.
ProsEntertainment discounts.
ConsCould have better medical insurance.

Perfect for someone with no family
If you enjoy working 14 days on and two days off, then this is the place for you.
It's a typical manufacturing setting. Production schedules are frequently changed and the two days off every fourteen was frequently revoked and mandatory overtime was in place.

Management
Very poor new management. Goals and objectives were established and met on-time according to previous manager's expectations. New manager did not present or communicate re-define goals or objectives. Would not recall, remember previous conversations or emails.

A mixed bag, met the best boss I ever had in my working life but to many middle management with their own agendas. As a hole not the worst company but the culture is lacking as is staff engagement. A very much them and us culture between management and staff.
