Favoritism is rampant
If you become one of the favorites here, you will advance quickly. If you are not a favorite, you will most likely never move up the ladder. I say most likely because if you keep bugging them, they will sometimes promote you. I would not recommend making this a career, but it is okay if you need a job to make ends meet.

the management looking to write you up for any mistake you make
the store was run fairly well
however the amount of work you've expected to complete in a short period was unrealistic....management had no interest in helping one succeed

I think giant is a great company to work.
I believe that it is a very good company to work for in which their are opportunities. The store policies in which they treat the people
is WONDERFUL!!! We know if you make your customers FEEL GOOD, then a person enjoys returning. I love children , and the fact
that you offer fresh fruit to them is a. excellent idea.

Giant is very small when it comes to the hopes and aspirations of their employees…low wages, unfair treatment from management ATB, no communication whatsoever amongst team members

Toxic work environment
There's a reason I refer to Giant as The Plantation. Your time is completely at their disposal. Death or illness in your immediate family? Don't expect to be allowed any time off, even for the funeral. Employees are simply chewed up and spit out. The union is useless.

First job
For my first job it was not a bad place to work at. I had okay pay for the time and management was very fair and easy to get along with. I would recommend that to someone that needs a temp job.

Rewarding experience
My bosses were great, I was able to advance my job while I worked there, and I got benefits. The hours were flexible, it was close to home and I got paid weekly.

Friendly and simple job
Management was extremely nice and personable. The hardest job about the job was being required to sell items the company is requiring to sell like donation boxes for the hungry or disabled. I learned to be patient with people and employees which allowed me to do the same to new employees I would train. Management is very understanding and also great teachers.

It was a great job I learned a great amount from this company. Management was great. The culture was good. Best job I had in my life because of the overall make up of the company.

hard work
Hard working most the time. I learn a little of everything at that job. Co workers were nice to work with and always willing to help. Hardest part was standing on my feet all day. The enjoyable part was mking people smile and them making me smile.
