demanding, high pace company
Awesome place to work and develop talent. A lot of demand on top performance. Every year they layoff of the lower percentage of performers. I successfully produced above and beyond expectations which allowed for many opportunities

Flexible
Was afforded the opportunity to work remotely, which saved on travel expense but also increased my productivity by reducing distractions typically experience in an office environment. It was as though I was able to run my own small business.

From my experience, as long as you do what is EXPECT of you, management will leave you be. Training is available and elevation within the company is obtainable for those that go after it and your actions matches the next role you are working towards.

Great experience
Working with GE Healthcare was a great experience for me in many ways some good and so not so good. The team I worked with was compiled of many people at different phases in their career who had different personalities and career goals. I loved my job but when health issues arose whereas I received all of the legally binding support from HR nothing was done when my manager indicated that he was unwilling to work with a person with disabilities. All of the internal grievance processes and procedures seemed more geared towards protecting the company instead of being sure that employees are treated fairly. The company advertises diversity and has many networks and forums (i.e. People with Disabilities Network & Different Ethnicity Networks) for open sharing, but they don't do anything to make sure that cultural issues are actually addressed or resolved.
The most enjoyable part of my job were the philanthropic events and programs I got to arrange or be a part of and the hardest part was working in an environment where the people responsible for enforcing fair practices where employees rights were concerned chose the buddy system over the honor system.
