Professionally managed,but hours not for sure.
Security guards are knowledgeable about their position. Management is on top of the customers needs and wants. Co - workers help each other,like family. The hours are questionable.

No real advancement within company
Company don't do nearly enough for the employees, makes it hard to take vacation even you have the time. If you go to another site within the company your time starts over for vacation, can't carry over.

Management was Frustrating
Management had hard time scheduling my preference.
Management could not get a Co-worker to arrive to the station by their scheduled start time.
Management stated in writing that the station was to be cleaned daily, but it appeared I was the only one cleaning the floor mats and floor.
During interview I was tolf the pay rate was $11.50 weekdays, and $11.75 weekends. I was paid $11.25 weekdays, & $12.00 weekends. I was scheduled mostly weekdays.

Everyone has a job to do and once it is explained then we are on our way. Getting questions answer by Officers that has been there longer.
G4S is a great company to work for, but the their management teams are not on target with the Officers. They think very little of their employee and they are not paid for mileage when they are asked to go out there way to accomplish something for the company.

Excellent place to work
This place offers a wide variety of locations and pay. The Company is very professional and tries their best to go out of their way for employees. G4S is all about career advancement and they have given me the opportunity to advance my career in so many ways.

There is not perfect job because work is work!
My experience and someone else’s experience will be different. So it’s all about what you are looking for! They have different job site for G4s so you have to find what works for you and you’re situation and be willing to come to work during your schedule time!

ConsPeople not showing up, folks that aren’t true leaders, and people that quit because they are ask to do their job

Nothing to talk about. It was a hard job to work at.
This job is good for those either in the military or retirees, or veterans. They discriminated against many women in these jobs and YOU WILL NEVER BE PROMOTED.
ProsThis job is for many men and not for woman.

Very bad experience
Working with g4s i don't have any words to explain its very bad experience because they say something different they do something different salary is very low and work is to much if we do 12 hours duty thay only give 1000 very bad experience

A fast growing company with professionalism
It's an international and one of the fastest growing security company in the world. Good management and well trained employees with fairly good wages.
Pros- Good salaries, professionalism, Good working conditions, etc

Good company in the beginning
The company was fantastic in the beginning but as managers changed, so did the culture. It was more of what will the employee do rather than how the employer could help. Worked really long hours, miled out one car only to get a $0.13 raise. The manager in Calgary was horrible when the best one left. I quit the day I met him.
