Nice place as a start out. Room to advance if they like you . Your supervisor is pretty much your boss. It's a job that is how well you catch on cause some of the training is ok I'll show you then you are on your own.

Overall a good place to work.
Overall a good place to work. Management is strong and co-workers are great. A family like environment. Compensation could be better.
I loved the atmosphere there it was quite easy to train and work your way up knowing that you have been taught correctly and the effort they had taken to make the employees happy from working them non stop . I would work there again. But there is always something new and better.
ProsThe supervison in the plant was easy to work with and easy to learn from. I loved it there.
Flexing gate is a on growing world wide company. This company is responsible for shipping out and making bumpers for vehicles . Non stop moving , working anywhere from 8-12 hours a day 5-6 days a week . Mandatory overtime was required.
One of the most closed minded places I have ever been. Plant management rarely follows any quality standards. it's a constant battle to try and do the right thing and problem solve any processes.
Injection molding operation with many opportunities for employees to learn and advance. Great benefits and workplace culture. My wife and I worked there so they do not mind family members working at same place
Only one manager cares and that's my direct manager. They never want to spend money or order parts because they are to expensive. Which reults in people working massive over time every Saturday and Sundays, to make up for lost time from machienes being broke. A lot of the machine's are out of date. Some you can't even get parts for anymore, so the rig hardware to them and then they break again. The ventilation system for the two hottest lines in the facility are a joke. I've had heat exhaustion twice from temperatures reaching over 110° along side of the humidity from 140-200° tanks. This company is falling apart and they except the workers who is not their responsibility to fix the issues with no compensation in pay. They lose more money because they are cheap then they would giving it the right way the first time. They also do not allow you to advance in the company per department even if you spent all your time learning the process inside and out and have more experience with it then a guy walking in off the streets as they require any form of degree, yes any form of degree you could have a social worker degree then be put in charge of chemicals, mechanical and electrical machines that in no way match the degree. This company Guardian West is spiraling down the drain.
They try to make you not think about it by giving us cheap cookouts which have stopped being as frequent, because it cost to much to do.we never know when we will get raises, they are just thrown at us if peo
ProsNone to me
ConsHot, poor ventalation, nasty enviormenrs, lazy employees not being held accountable, promotion of people who are lazy employees because they have a 2 year degree, no accountabilty for management only floor workers.
Very fast paced , busy environment.Although continuous improvement is encouraged, doing things right the first time does not occur because the cutomer timing does not allow for it!
incompetent management
many supervisors lack intellect and people skills
dont care about employees. no training for supervisors or employees. they just want bodies that will put out as many parts as possible without care of quality
some management good. most horrible!
over 10 different supervisors in 10 months. none trained
I take pride in my job but this place makes it impossible to feel good about what you do.

If you were in charge, what would you do to make Flex-N-Gate a better place to work?
Asked Dec 28, 2017
The biggest issue in that plant that would help not only management but also the truckers and workers is the organisation of the material both in the plant and out. During the time I worked there they were working on doing that. But seemed they didn't do anything but move the problem around and never improved it in any way!

What tips or advice would you give to someone interviewing at Flex-N-Gate?
Asked Nov 3, 2019
Best advise, focus on your dependability and attendance record. They offer a bonus for perfect attendance, which personally this should tell you something, they struggle to keep people due to attendance, as it is usually just expected for you to work your schedule, that’s what your paid for. So when they offer a bonus to just do what your expected to do, you know that’s a problem for them. If you have a good attendance record in the past, highlight that
