Overall Reviews at Firehouse Subs
4.0
Very productive and active workplace, what one would expect from working in a fast-food restaurant.
It's an okay job that deals in speed, neatness, memorability, and teamwork. Lenient in the beginning but can become demanding later on. Overall a great job for those who don't have a much job experience and served a good first job personally.
ProsFree Lunch, Short lunch rushes, Lax days
ConsNo direct deposit, inflexible schedule

The job was unprofessional
The person that run firehouse subs, didn’t give me a interview I didn’t train , I just hop right in and start working , I’m a fast learner so I wasn’t complaining or anything then he fired me.

Poor Management at My Location
The food and employees were great. But the franchise owner/manager were very poor in their duties, and often went back on their words. I was fired for being "slow" and when walking out that day, my coworkers were confused when I told them why.

Poor management and Tired Employees
The management was terrible. They barely did upkeep on the building, at one point our ice machine broke and flooded the back and we were told to just tape up the leaking part. Our knives got chipped up and I had to convince my manager to buy new ones and they weren't even set out once they arrived. The managers can be kind but are clearly in it for the money. Employees vaped in building at times.
ConsShort breaks

Nice calm fast pace work enviroment when everyone is one the same page.
Fast pace short days with breaks.
Manager messes up a lot then blames everyone else.
Hardest part of the job is work with uncooperative co-workers.
The most enjoyable part of the job is interacting with customers and the challenge of having a rush just still figuring out a way to make their food in a timely manner and provide premier customer service.
ProsFree lunch
ConsNo benefits and rarely more than 25 hours a week

Average entry-level job
-Cashiering and food preparation are usually completed by all
-Assisted in teaching me to keep a professional attitude with customers regardless of frustration
-Handling money consistently throughout the day
-Personable and personal work environment often because of small buildings/small workstations
ProsEasy entry level job that teaches the necessary basics of customer service
ConsLow pay, not much room for advancement

Productive and fun
The assistant manager was very nice fun helpful and great to work with one of the other managers not so much she wasn't helpful she told lies and was kind of rude among other things. I lived the work and most other coworkers we got along jimed around and tried to have fun with our work so our days wouldn't be so bad. I loved that it was fast paced and there were different areas to work in. On the days you worked you also got discounts on your meal.
ProsGreat coworkers, fast paced, decent pay
ConsCould be more understanding about medical or family issues, and managers could listen and pay attention to their employees more
