New management
There is a current lack of unity and support within the organization. The new management is somewhat of a micro managing atmosphere, that is creating animosity among the staff

I like working at Faneuil
I like working at Faneuil, I’ve moved up quickly. I went straight from on the phones to being a supervisor and now I am a supervisor and a trainer and I totally enjoy my job.

low pay...no support...never quick enough to satisfy quota
cliques. nepotism, unfair, no support, can't leave desk to go to the bathroom, impossible policies for local branch, low pay, even lower pay to work from home

no Room for advancement
You can know your job well and someone else will get promoted over you because of favoritism. Pay is horrible for csr’s you can make more working at another call center in the area (most other call centers start at $12 an hour Faneuil is $10.25). There at no raises the only way to get a raise is to get promoted. It’s a dead end job, but it’s an okay starter job for someone who has never did that type of work. Some days the calls are back to back but not all the time depending on the season for Washington Gas. If you work on the Washington gas side there is a lot of work required for the little bit of money that Faneuil pays. The supervisors are no help and the training did not help at all with what you will actually have to do on the job. Most of the supervisors do not even know how to do the job so they are no help (still don’t understand how someone can supervise but not know the job). I no longer work there I Resigned. Almost forgot they would limit over time to so many hours per week and would blame it on them paying out too much money but the supervisors would/could work as much as they wanted and most of them just sit all day and do nothing or leave for 2 hours out the day and still be clocked in.
ProsFor holidays they would serve lunch and have raffles

Busy position with low pay
Company was quite disorganized and paychecks were often late...I ended up leaving because of that.
Very busy environment with back to back calls and application processing, the pay rate was way too low for this kind of position.
On a positive note coworkers and some supervisors were nice..
ProsWork from home
ConsLow pay

Easy work. Managament could use some work
The job was pretty simple. I moved from the Caller postion to a chat position. Some people ARE going to be angry. Some people WILL be easier to talk to then others. The headsets they give you are terrible. It was hard to understand some people in the caller postion then others. Chat was fairly easy to pick up. My supervisor during this time period was not the greatest. They kept saying things that are part of their job and blamed me for a lot of mistakes that I did not know. Bringing up a "You've been doing this longer then I have" a lot as well when they were my supervisor for the chat postion. IN reality I did not do it longer then them.
ProsEasy work, Easy to pick up
ConsManagament/Supervisors need work, Better Health Benefits
