great work place, that i would loved to work for again
percurment, answering phones and placing orders for fairfax county school board. Creating catologs with school products in it, finding the best prices for the products and prsenting them to the school board. This was a very laid back fun job. All the people here were fun to work with, never any problems

Competitive Work Environment
A typical day at work was filled with teaching and a special education case load. I learned to become an effective teacher and to manage challenging personalities effectively. The hardest part of the job was completing the special education paperwork. The most enjoyable part of the job was working with the students.

Productive
Good place to work, but no benefits as a substitute teacher. Some students don't behave well and respect the substitute teacher, so it could be challenging.

Nice interim position
I was between jobs and this allowed me great flexibility while keeping my skills up and providing me with adequate study time. The phone would start ringing in the wee hours of the morning looking for substitute teachers and instructional assistants and then you could choose whether to take the job or not. Once at school, you would just follow whatever the teacher asked you to do which included, but not limited to, lunch duty, grading papers, organizing the classroom, assisting students with their work.

Fairfax County Public Schools
I enjoyed working with Middle School Students but also became burned out teaching the same thing year after year. Lack of student discipline was also a factor in my decision to leave.
