Recruiting is misleading, management are rude and disrespectful.
I was contacted twice by a recruiter between May and September of 2015, and accepted a position as an Office 365 concierge ambassador on a contract for 18 months. In December we were called to a meeting and told that there were a low volume of phone calls and everyone had to accept a reduction in our weekly hours, from 40 hours per week to 27.5 hours per week. Then towards the middle of the month we started noticing people going "status unknown" in Skype for business, which we use to communicate. From working with a previous company, "status unknown" usually means a person is no longer working with the company. It was confirmed that the company was hiring a large number of new employees while firing older, higher paying technicians. The one and only reason given for termination was and continue to be, performance. Performance based on surveys from sometimes angry clients who are more upset with Microsoft than with the service providers, these surveys are based on a five star rating, one to three are bottom boxes, four stars are also bottom boxes, I was told by a not so friendly manager, and five stars are top boxes. If an agent gets a bottom box and the client writes a letter of appreciation to management, it doesn't matter because, "Strive for the top box guys, that's what keep management happy" Technicians who have been working with Office 365 when it was called BPOS have been fired for not being able to provide the proper support, that's just wrong. Productive and Fun Work Place with a Dark Side
Since Experis IT is a vendor for Microsoft Studios games division, there are many down times at the company which means important people are let go from their position with no other reason than, 'Your project is coming to a close and we don't have anywhere to move you.' This is understandable to get rid of the excess work force that had ramped up during project heavy times, but they get rid of cornerstones of the company on a regular basis. The direct management of the game testing company is pretty solid - they are approachable, helpful, and always open to feeback - be it good or bad. Experis management, outside of our facility, does not understand the gaming industry and bases peoples performance on their bug output, without taking anything else into consideration. The atmosphere at Experis is a very fun and laid back atmosphere. The people that tend to work there, though some of them are quite young, are almost always a joy to be around. Coworkers are what make this place into a fun environment (that and the testing of video games). The people that you directly work with and relationships that can form because of that are most enjoyable parts of the job. One of the hardest parts of the job is that we are almost never given any sort of design/requirements documentation. We must files issues and reverse engineer documentation based on the bug resolutions (Fixed, Won't Fix, By Design, External). Another tough part of the job is that the developers almost never hi

The worst job I have ever had - O365 Support
This job will break you down and leave you a shell of who you used to be. You are a performance score on a spreadsheet and nothing else. There are no raises or promotions or bonuses. Job security does not exist. You cannot have a family working here because once you log off, you will be filled with anxiety about the next day. Every minute is watched, every letter typed is documented and reviewed, your work is screenshotted every five minutes to confirm you're working and documents any idle time after a few minutes. Unexpected sick days are unexcused unless you get a doctor's note, with only 3 sick days allowed 90 days. Upper management is not part of the team, but they will happily give you a pay cut or fire you without ever knowing you. If you do not work fast enough, you will be fired. If you do not respond to a case within just a few moments, you will be at risk for firing. If you do not say the script correctly, you can be fired. If you say anything negative about the company to any of your coworkers, you can be fired. If you're late or have extenuating circumstances that cause a delay like childcare issues, you can be fired. If you do everything right and still fail to hit unreasonable performance stats, you will be fired. If you do not take enough cases in the shortest amount of time, you can be fired. You are expected to work with customers on the phone while working with customers via email or chat simultaneously, if you do not, you can be fired. Every shift, you w

Contracted at LyondellBasell - Large company that supported employee growth and development
A typical workday included working the Change Management Inbox, assigning new requests and incidents, and maintaining my current workload. Job required the ability to multi-task with a high level of accuracy. Communicate with team members, management, and the business regarding results found after analyzing the change request. Assigned to large projects, such as Windows 7 upgrade, SAP Business Objects Upgrade, Windows XP upgrade, and the Basell Integration Project. I learned how to work independently and balance a large workload. I learned when to ask for assistance from co-workers and how to communicate in a large business environment. I also learned how to prioritize my workload and stand behind my decisions. LyondellBasell is an international company which allowed me to work with Europe and Asia as needed. Job required we be on-call 24/7 once every 5 months and for all major projects we were working on. Management was always willing to support my decisions. Worked well with all levels of management as needed. Communication skills was the key. Co-workers were willing to share knowledge and provide guidance as needed. Worked with a great group of co-workers. The most challenging aspect of the job was prioritizing my workload and making sure all parties involved were updated as needed. The job provided unique opportunities to grow personally and professionally.
ProsFlexible work schedule and ability to telecommute.
ConsHaving to pay for benefits since I was a contractor

vile place to work for !
when I first got this job they gave me the impression they liked me and I liked them too 2 weeks down the line when I was settled in I was suppose to be given training I didn't have any training what so ever just the manager pointed out a couple of things and expected me to know when ive never done this type of work before, not long after the 2 weeks of being there she pulled me into a meeting room and basically said 'I don't feel like this is the job for you, I haven't got time to help you you need to do it on your own' I was really shocked by this bearing in mind I had only been there for 2 weeks I said 'give me a chance ive only been here 2 weeks'. so then another 2 weeks passed by and a horrible incident happened to me were I was in hospital I provided hospital notes, doctors notes and at the time she advised me its best to stay of so I had a week of due to me being unfit to work. I then came back in work the week after and my manager and another woman had a meeting with me they said they didn't believe me and they think I was telling lies I was disgusted wuth this as I provided hospital note not shortly after this I left the company my manager sent me a letter home saying I will get paid for the weeks notice and the days I had worked it came pay day and I hadant got paid a penny I rang them up and asked why and she just said you owe us money because you had sick days of since when was this a company rule? I moved on for good reasons
IN MY EXPRESSED OPINION ONLY. Typical day at work: During the winter, pretty slow. because BTS/CELL SITE CABINETS are cool... During the summer, trouble tickets are numerous due to high BTS temperatures..you will have numerous tickets, very few on-hand replacement parts (if any since they are not stocked; must order parts which may takes 1 day to weeks to arrive, but your still responsible for its install even if it arrives on your day off/vacation day. Learned: No formal training provided if you are a contractor; swim or drown. Only a couple of techs are friendly/that will take sincere time to teach you anything. The regular field techs know more than the Lead.. Go figure. Management: Clueless, inconsiderate, and pencil pushing; never even heard from my former mgr since hiring to leaving; never answered any questions. The Tower Crew management is good though. Work Place Culture: During the Winter....great. During the Summer....over worked and stressed. On-Call scheduling is CRAZY; if you work that day, you may work not only your scheduled 8 hrs, but the rest of the night till the early morning straight. Hardest Part Of Job: Dealing with your Lead, On-Call work, getting too many tickets during summer days, parts availability, and the facts that you are required to know how to fix anywhere from 1 to 10 different types of systems, without adequate time, info, and realistic expectations. Most Enjoyable Part of Job: Getting off work.

Poor Management, Serious Micro Management down to the Second
Working for Expiris is an experience to say the less. Your job is threatened daily and you have to account for every moment your working in writing or else. Even the 15 Minute bathroom break that you have to schedule with you manager for the same time everyday. You actually have to report and ask for approval when you step away to go to rest room. Daily morning meetings regularly contain threats that you'll loss your job along with stories of who was fired the day before. There are so many Zero Tolerance events that will get you fired on the spot and these change daily along with policies and procedures. This gives you the feeling that it's only a matter time before it's you. Also, questions to HR regarding anything such as benefits basically go ignored. Literally Not a very welcoming place to work and managements attitude is rather hostile when asked for anything from advice to help with a customer. You can pick up a lot at Expiris but don't expect much support from Management without being talked down to like you're an idiot or threatened if you ask for it..You are all on your own. Best to keep you resume updated and try and pickup as much as you can during your time here which will eventually come to and end. It's only a matter of time before you hit a Zero Tolerance incident which change daily or you fail to reach one of the ever changing bars set each morning. You will feel like your days are numbered from the day you start.

Administrative Assistant | Central Station, WV | Oct 27, 2018
I worked here for a short period of time....About a little over a year. I was well-knowledgable of the job duties; but could not advance my career
I start looking at my work emails from home when I wake up at 7am then as I'm commuting to work, I'm attending a staff meeting via phone. I get to work around 9am and I respond to all my emails and handle inquiries. Throughout the day, I am doing administrative duties for several managers. I take a 1 hour lunch break around 1-2pm and I leave the office to walk around Grand Central Station. When I come back to the office, I have recruiters at my desk asking me to format resumes and submit candidates to job postings. I'm supposed to end my day at 5pm so that I can make it to night school at 6pm but it barely happens because I'm usually asked to do extra projects which always needs to have been done ASAP. I then arrive to night school late and stressed and I ignore my professors scrutiny and I sit at my seat hoping that I'll be able to catch up on the missed lessons. I commute back home 2 hours and I go home and sleep it off. I wake up again at 7am to do it all over again. They salary was good but I could not advance my career due to several barriers. Most of the management team were men and so it was pretty hard to break past being an administrative assistant.
ProsGreat salary for an administrative assistant & I sometimes worked from home
ConsWork Life Balance was challenging as a mom and no career advancement opportunity.

Poor management and no job security
I worked for Experis for over a year and the work was enjoyable, however management was not great with complaints with other coworkers and lied about job security. When I first was hired they promised that they were different than other contract agencies and said they wouldn’t “kick me to the curb” once my contract was over. A few months before the contract was over they said there was no job and no work avalible and that I would have to find work elsewhere. It was very rude of them to almost garantee my job security. I also had issues with my team leader, accusing me of things I had not done. I told management and said they would talk to him, but the issues still continued. Our team leader woild also make excuses to leave during fhe day where it was almost 2-3 times a week they would leave early and management did nothing to punish this behavior but I was yelled at for taking two days off when one day I was sick and the other day I had requested off weeks prior. I enjoyed my time working and learning but the mamagement needs to step up when there are issues or problems that their employees have. They also need to not garantee job security when they do jow know what is in the future.

Terrible Management
I was originally very excited to work for Experis as I was looking to get started within the recruitment industry and a trainee recruiter position became available. After my interview I was contacted shortly after informing me that I had the job, however it took weeks before they would take any of my calls or confirm a start date, making it difficult to arrange notices to prepare for this new job. Eventually I was contacted last minute informing me of my start date only a few days before I was due to start. But this was only the beginning, unfortunately after 2 weeks working there I became ill and was unable to work for a short period of time to recover my health. I apologised to my manager and informed that my Doctor had advised to take a week off, my manager originally agreed, telling me to take the rest of the week off to recover. When I came back in after recovering, I was taken aside by my manager demanding to know where I had been (despite telling me to take the week off), they demanded hospital forms and evidence of being hospitalised, I provided sick notes and evidence from my Doctor regarding being ill, but my manager said it wasn't good enough and wanted hospital notes, I told them as I had not been hospitalised, I did not have these documents. They told me that I had been lying to them about being ill, and that they did not like my work manner and my manager went so far as to say she did not like ME as a person and she did not want me working for her anymo

Questions And Answers about Experis

What does it mean by contract? does it mean it's only a temporary job?
Asked Aug 6, 2016
Many companies are misusing "temp to hire" by calling people "contractors" while at the same time controlling their work product, requiring certain hours of work, doing work that is an essential part of the business model. These are in violation of IRS guidelines on contractors vs. employees. IRS is really cracking down on employers, auditing employment files, reviewing what their contractors do, how they are paid, etc. You need to really become familiar with the difference. IF the employer is not paying your taxes, UI employment, and simply paying you a gross amount, then it considers you a "contractor", which may or may not be correct.
