Your co workers are your family!
The people you work with are there besides you. They help you learn and grow! I honestly loved everything and everyone. There are a lot of opportunities if you go the right path.
ProsChristmas events, Employee appreciation day ( so much fun)! Great benefits! 2 weeks vacation starting
ConsDoes require a lot of your time. Need to learn how to balance work and family

Miserable
I started off in disorganization as an intern. No structured training, just a lot of shadowing and learning as you go. It was a dram filled place among the employees. Clique-ish environment. Stressful job. No raises guaranteed, I was told you have to ask for one! Worked there 2 years and never got a raise then when I transferred locations and went into a new position, I asked the new boss about a raise and he said I’d have to learn everything first! Like dude I just started this new position from one I’ve worked in for a year and 1/2.

Great Company. Great training. They passionately stick to their model. which makes them very successful. I enjoyed my time there. nothing but respect. I left only because I had a great opportunity from Wayfair

Great people!
The people of Expeditors were great! They company had an "open door policy", however, not many issues were directly addressed. While management was flexible and fun, more structured training and opportunity for career development is needed.

Productive place with immense learning opportunities.
This company gives you the ability to move around within the company if you are not sure what the right path is for you. They are a more traditional company.

Good introduction to logistics
You will learn how to work quickly. Good place to start but not stay. I really don't care to review this company. It has some great people and some very frustrating people. The culture is outdated.

Benefits are great but pay is low
Expeditors as a company takes care of their employees very well. They provide great benefits but the pay is pretty low for the industry . I ended up leaving for various reasons. I think who you have as a supervisor makes a difference on your feelings about the job. They say they hire within, which is true, but they’ll need to speak to your supervisor first and is he/she doesn’t like you, maybe don’t hold your breath. Despite not being my favorite place to work, I enjoyed the people. I also love how they do various company events to show appreciation to their employees.
ProsBenefits, coworkers
ConsLow pay, boring work, overtime requirements

They believe in perosonal development and retaining staff
Communication is key at the company, although the execution of things is dependent on the individual whom which you communicate with.
Attitude is also key - if you posses a 'can do' and 'willing to ' attitude, you are what the company is looking for.
Even with that, it doesn't necessarily mean that you'll reach your goal, but it will secure your job.
The hardest part of the job, is not having the necessary backup from management when needed. This has led me to go up above people's heads to be able to get assistance - which creates unfavourable work relationships. So in a way, one's willpower and ability to execute duties is tested. This does not necessarily go noticed as efforts to try and keep the business going, but is recognized as threats - thus managers not appraising their subordinates.
I have however learnt that if I do want something to be done the right way, I should be diplomatic, tactful and firm when undertaking my duties. I've also learned to take things on my own, and go with them - thus making decisions but at the same time ensuring that no one is harmed in the process, the business is secured and my employer is happy with the outcome.
ProsIf you require additional training, you have the opportunity to ask for it.
ConsSacrifices, at times you make personal sacrifices to benefit the company, but these may hamper one's personal life.
