Management
It’s the luck of the draw with management, some willing to help & answer question, some make you regret asking for help & praying you don't punch 🤜🏿 them in the face because your confused on while you’re being belittle for asking them the question. Why are you talking to me in this manner? Back to the punch in the face. Loved Expedia the company but they need to do better with people in charge of people.
Shift work. Learned a lot about driving work through metrics. Management has their favorites and is closed off concerning suggestions from line level and mid-level management. Getting promoted is more about being a lemming than showing creativity, intelligence, or thinking outside the box.
ProsFamily culture; Celebrations
Cons"Good Ole Boy" promotions; Non-recognition of creativity/intelligence

Productive, good technologies used, good people to work with
enjoyed working at Expedia. Challenging in a good way, good management, great coworkers, great benefits. Modern technologies, relatively good pay, work life balance. Great new campus
Management worked you extremely hard by setting unrealistic targets.
You were not allowed to suggest improvements but blindly follow management directives.
I felt like I was working on a slave ship with someone at the front of the vessel keeping the speed of the work continual by beating a drum.
Getting faster all the time.
With hindsight it was a very poor company to work for.

Great place to work
Great place to work and co workers have fun a lot of food and drinks for all the work environment is fine the new office is really great and the commute is easier since they added the commute busses
Management needs to be replaced to make this a better place to work. Campus is great and so are benefits.
If you have a strong bias for action, look elsewhere
Great company to work for with lots of opportunity for advancement and travel.
Expedia is a great company to work for. Workplace culture is exciting and positive with lots of room for advancement and growth. At times it is difficult to manage expectations but this is when communication with your direct manager is key. I learned a lot about what I’m capable of and how hard work and determination really does pay off.

Great Benefits
This is a great company to work for but the job it's self is very stressful. There is room for growth and advancement if you are willing to put in the hours. The company tries to distract you from the bullcrap policies by catering lunches, parties, and other things. Overall not a bad place to work if your okay with the stressful job that you have to do in every department.

Fun and productive work place
Great place to work. Fun atmosphere and opportunity to advance. Overtime was often available and management was easy to work with. Very nice Christmas parties.
Evidence based excerpt of actual events during my three years in Fraud Ops.
Management devoid of soft skills and leadership qualities.
Promotions based on office politics
Lack of transparency and support
Verbally and psychologically abusive management immune to consequences
Reported my boss to HR for abuse. Nothing was done.
Unfair; mid year review: Exceeds expectations; End of year review: Meets expectations This in spite of weekly 1-1's where I was never told my performance was slipping and thus not given the chance to improve
People selected for training are brain damaged as are those who selected them for the task.
Lack of integrity, honesty, support at all levels.
Management covers for one another, making sure any abuse or dissatisfaction is swept under the carpet.
The 10 year anniversary was marred by an expletive laden narrative and Q & A session with the CEO and the SLT. At one point in time and employee asked the following question to the CEO and the SLT: "Hello, would you consider re-instating merit based stock options for FTE's in the future? Thank you.
Answer: "Why would we want to do that? What makes you think you or anyone else is good enough for that?
Cheap; below average salaries.
I have worked 32 days without a day off to cover for a Senior Analyst. My boss only said:"You messed up, I found 5 mistakes! You are 99.95% accurate; how do you plan to improve on that? Hmm?
Never any good feedback. They are snipers, looking to flame mail anyone they c
ProsPaid on time
ConsCEO, SLT, management, lack of morals and ethics, malignant psychopaths, abuse, stress and low rate of pay

Good learning and collaborative team environment. Brain storming sessions increase your problem solving skills. Good health and travel benefits. Working hours is flexible.
