It was a consulting project - a non-standard based industry
Consulting project for Equifax with Congero Technology Group for a credit union for their EWS business-unit. A great learning experience and insight into another industry vertical.

Bad Leadership
physical security operations has bad leadership. The supervisor uses his authority to get friends hired. Nepotism. There is no room for advancement. policies are not followed

Accept positions at your own risk
Pay is Decent however communication in management is very poor. Also the training is terrible and most info has to be learned on the fly. Advancement is difficult as people are hired more on work relationships rather than work ethic and ability to provide results. This company only works for people who have degrees and get in to higher positions.
ProsPay rate
ConsTerrible management, training is poor, communication between departments is bad

Good Place
I agree. Nice place to work and be a superstar employee. Managers are generally nice to work with. I am not sure what to put here, but we shall write something later.

Metrics more important than revenue
Senior manager focused on metrics and not revenue. No understanding of business verticals. Focused on number of phone calls vs. bringing in new logo customers.

The job provided a great benefit package
The job was rewarding by being able to educate consumers. The position was always interesting. I was able to learn a great deal about the credit industry.
ProsGreat benefits package
ConsPoor management

A culture that talks out of both sides of their mouth
This is not a company that cares about you and your development...only as a resource to be used up and tossed aside. They say they're about development, but really they are just about greed.
ProsPsuedo flexible schedule. Up to two hours flex per week
ConsEmphasis is on production, and increasing the work load. When someone leaves, everyone else's workload increases.

Used to be a great company
I worked for Equifax for over 10 years. I used to be proud of my employer and considered it one of the best places to work. They have great compensation and benefits and my direct managers are always helpful, great listeners, and really want you to succeed. However, over the last year, there have been changes in senior leadership which has caused the company and business unit that I worked for to go downhill quickly. They made it obvious that they do not value their employers and only care about numbers and dollar signs. They are very greedy and only care about the services/products that can make them the most money. They do not care about their clients or their employees. Over the last year there has been a significant number of layoffs, most of those were employees that have been with the company over 20 years. My job was also eliminated at the end of 2019 after 10+ years because certain members of senior leadership are selfish and are not capable of making sensible business decisions.
ProsCompensation, Benefits, Work from home opportunities
ConsNot respected or valued by senior leadership

Great company with great incentives
Learned much with EMS and further expanded my career into the world of commercial collections. Learn much from the sales staff, my direct manager, and account receivables department.
