I want to rate this company as a good one, because the people there trying to make a difference are amazing.
If you can become a full time employee good luck, there are people who have been sold this lie for the past 5 years.
Unfortunately, the upper head of IT has no clue what she is doing and is failing as a leader, she will flip her decisions from week to week on what is our goals, and other projects fall to the wayside. The help desk is basically the dumping ground for all issues, all technicians do the same functions of multiple departments; a level one technician not only answers phones and does the basic routing and ticketing, but will also be required to do equipment deployment, purchasing for all IT equipment, account admin work, some networking, all functions of a mail room, video conferencing, all mergers and acquisitions or new companies, etc.
IT is never steady state and is constantly on their feet about what other workload will they dump on the helpdesk. There is no actual helpdesk manager and the helpdesk supervisor is primarily a cloud services technician who actively avoids being the supervisor.
This would all be fine with a decent staff level, but as it stands there are 8 Technicians servicing 5000+ users. There is no knowledge base, except information that is emailed to you. I have been here for awhile and on average one technician every two months leaves. I have never seen a turnover rate this high with such a small desk.

If you would like no idea of the job role you’re going Into, along with terrible training then this is probably the job for you. Management have no consideration for any members of the team, all feedback from training was negative and you were never given any positive feedback even if you were doing well. There was nothing in my contract about a 6 week probation period where I will sit an exam at the end of it which will determine whether I will be kept on or not. Each week you’re reminded that you’re not safe in the job you’re in, which consisted of sarcastic and nasty remarks from management. I left here on my own accord as it isn’t the job described to me, I was expecting something way more customer service based but it is repetitive boring admin work which will bore you to death and I left my perfectly okay job for this thinking it was a nice and secure position,which is a massive regret as I had the worst experience ever within this company and done nothing but cry every week with the stress and pressure they put onto you. Oh not to mention they mark you incorrectly for not following working practices when they don’t actually have any.

I began as Exec. Secretary to the Sr. VP of Finance, transferred to the Business Development group and after completing the Art Institute of Houston's 1 year Diploma Graphic Design course was promoted to the position of Marketing Coordinator.
The company did many in-house computer training courses as the computer software programs were introduced. I began with the Wang, transferring data to the Mac to convert it into PC mode. (Wang documents could not be read on the PC, hence the conversion process.)
As part of compiling PowerPoint presentations, I learned Graphics software to produce line drawings from the Engineers as part of their presentations for new Power Plant Construction projects.
After completing the Graphics Design course I then generated print-ready materials to go straight to print without incurring additional costs for layout or color corrections.

Productive place to work - not a lot of socialization.
It is expected that you arrive on time each day. The first meeting of the day is immediately thereafter everyone's arrival. Since many of the managers are working remotely, most every meeting is done electronically.. There is not much room to get to know who you are dealing with, or much socialization to start with, but it becomes obvious that these meeting can work out to the company benefit eventually, I held three different jobs on the site, but with the help from the onsite team, i was very successful with all three positions. The roles included interim Site Manager, Quality Control Manager and I also handled VDEQ's SWPPP (Environmental Management).
ProsBeing in tight with the entire site crew helped production and i was able to keep my sanity.
ConsLong hours each day and few breaks, Upper management worked remotely for much of the project until their help became necessary.
Never been apart of a company like this. Expectations I had proved to be the complete opposite in reality.
Total lack of organized training program for new employees. Once onboard you are left to figure things out on your own as there is also a total lack of processes and procedures for most areas of corporate. If I didn't seek information out would have never been provided guidance. Overall feeling of everyone is overwhelmed in their workload and is working in survival mode. Too much focus being put on being #1 in growing their renewables business unit at a fast rate of speed to be a powerhouse in renewable energy instead of putting the focus on doing it well and right. Slow down, build a good/solid business model for the projects you currently have then focus on growth.

They expect you to not only do your job, but the job of everyone else around you (while getting paid less than them) while simultaneously trying to come up with way to improve work prosecesses because no one in management knows how to actually perform your work. The pay is close to minimum wage and they pretend to care about the environmental impact of the companies they have as clients and virtue signal about human rights while simultaneously treating you as terribly as they legally can and wasting as much energy as they can get away with. This company is actually a human rights violation.

A typical day at work consists of organizing our technicians and assigning tasks. I learned how to motivate staff and sharpen my communication skills. My manager is an off site regional manager who trusts my judgment and provides valuable direction when needed. The people I work with are a team that selected and trained; I am proud our this team very much and I am always dedicated to their professional development. The hardest part of my job is also my favorite part of the job. That part is operating contingency plans. These plans are necessary to implement because we have a goal of zero downtime. When equipment fails, in spite of our meticulous preventative maintenance, we must keep the operation running. This is both difficult and very exciting.

A decent environment but has its flaws
The contracting company is just that but the Location (Engie North america) I have been at has been Informative and helpful,but extremely stressful. Poor planning and IT management that does not understand IT has been the cause of most the issues in our dept. A lot of changes are going on and has offered opportunity to learn new systems such as Okta many VPN clients and how to manage and maintain them. So all in all it is not the worst but is not somewhere I would suggest at the moment. but the contracting company Waluia is what it is. providing a Helpdesk to a multi national company and do as all contract companys do, but is smaller and you can talk to the actual decision makers.

Er wordt een pauze genomen om 12u tot 12u30. dan beginnen we terug tot 15u30.
En moeten we het opschrijven wat er allemaal uitgevoerd is geweest, zodat het ploegbaas dat op zijn dag raport kan noteren.
Het zwaarste werk is natuurlijk het montage werk geweest. Veel schuppen, trekken sleuren van zware toestellen. Veelte zware gereedschap dragen over lengtes van bijna 200m omdat er geen vervoer meer verder kan. je voelt dat ieder keer als je thuis in je bed ligt in je rug.
Maar natuurlijk zwaar werk ofniet het sfeer met collega's was altijd heel leuk geweest, we waren met 15man toen we met een werf begonnen zijn, ondertusse zitte we nog maar met 3 (met mij erbij).

Je travaille en Back Office et je suis une typologie de client à satisfaire obligatoirement. Mes supérieurs hiérarchiques m'ont demandé de prendre en charge cette Typologie car je suis une employée consciencieuse dans son travail, je suis à la lettre les procédures GDF, et surtout que je rend un travail de très grande qualité.
Je suis chargée de traiter les mails des clients qui font des modifications sur leur modalités de paiement. En prenant en charge cette typologie je suis rendue compte que les procédures n'étaient pas bonnes et donc en accord avec le client, je les ai soumises à la Direction, et ont été acceptées et changées.
J'arrive sur mon poste de travail, je me connecte, je commence à traiter. Mais pour traiter et satisfaire le client je l'appelle, et lui demande exactement ce qu'il désire. Une fois sa demande traitée comme il le souhaite, et le client satisfait de mon travail, je lui envoie un courrier lui disant que sa demande à été traitée et que ses modifications seront faîtes dès sa prochaine facture. Certains clients sont en colère où insatisfait des services que GDF leur propose. Là, j'interviens et je fais en sorte de régler tout leur problèmes où si je ne peux pas, de les mettre en relation avec la personne qui pourra les aider pour une totale satisfaction client.
Ce qui me gêne et me dévalorise est que je n'ai jamais eu aucun remerciements verbals puisque financièrement c'est impossible. Et après avoir remis cette typologie sur les rails, on me reproch

Cofely Services, leader français des services en efficacité énergétique et environnementale, est une société faisant partie de la branche GDF Suez Energie Services. GDF Suez étant le deuxième groupe mondial de l’énergie et le premier producteur indépendant d’énergie au monde. Cofely Services œuvre en externe pour la transition énergétique, c’est à dire le passage du système énergétique actuel (utilisant des ressources non renouvelables) vers un bouquet énergétique basé principalement sur des ressources renouvelables. En interne la société prône les valeurs de l’innovation.
Alternante au sein du service communication, noyau de diffusion de cette vison de l’innovation, j’ai pu remarqué que son fonctionnement (en interne) n’était pas toujours optimal. En effet, les échanges entre les réseaux de communication régionaux et le siège national peuvent être perturbés et la cohésion du groupe communication n’est pas toujours favorable. Le service ayant subit des changements organisationnels important, les responsables communication en région ont tendance à être davantage attachés à leur secteur géographique plutôt qu’à une culture d’entreprise nationale.

Nombre de contrat énorme (leader en France), rapports des interventions informatisés.
Ce grand potentiel est détruit principalement par un management technocratique déplorable.
Extrêmement stressant.
Malgré la mise en place de "portes ouvertes", de promotions, etc., la solidarité, l'organisation des journées, et les mensonges et la manipulation du management (chef d'agence) sont à l'image de l'état d'esprit général et de la volonté de l'entreprise nationale : la productivité journalière et la rentabilité pécuniaire passe avant la qualité. La compétition et les challenges sont les maîtres mots de cette entreprise nationale. D'ailleurs, il y a même un podium des meilleurs vendeurs de chaudières (alors que nous sommes techniciens en maintenance)...
Le salaire n'est pas à la hauteur de l'investissement. Aucune évolution de sa carrière où de son coefficient du salaire. Les heures supplémentaires ne sont pas toutes payés, et pas récupérées. Les trajets entre clients ne sont pas pris en compte dans le temps de travail.
Les réunions ne servent qu'à parler de commerce (90% du temps de la réunion sont "allouées" par le monologue du chef d'agence), le côté technique de notre métier était mis à l'index.
Les formations techniques ne sont pas des formations : elles durent une matinée et bien souvent deux heures avec des pizzas (quand elle se déroulent entre 12h et 14h). Donc, pas d'essais concret sur les nouvelles technologies lors de ces formati
J’aimerais vous partager mon expérience avec cette entreprise. J’ai postulé pour un poste de conseillère clientèle à distance à Aix en Provence. La responsable me contacte pour un entretien. Déjà elle me fait patienter 15 minutes dans le vent au téléphone avant qu’on prenne le rendez vous. ( pour une responsable en relation clientèle c’est très moyen !) Pourquoi pas ! Ensuite arrive le rendez vous. Je précise que j’étais à l’heure ! Je n’ai pas de permis et je suis venue en transport en commun la personne qui devait me recevoir le savait. ( pas le choix quand on veut travailler de plus je ne vois pas le soucis le permis n’étant pas nécessaire pour le poste ) J’arrive donc à l’heure à l’entreprise. Accueil très froid dans un premier temps. 1ère chose qui m’ait été dite une remarque piquante me faisant bien sentir que le fait que je n’ai pas le permis dérange ! On ne m’a même pas demandé de me présenter ( une grande première pour moi en entretien !!!). La personne a fait que de me décrire les avantage de l’entreprise. De toute façon dès la première seconde j’ai compris que je n’aurais pas le poste alors que j’ai de l’expérience dans la relation client et dans un poste quasi similaire ! De plus que j’ai eu droit à plusieurs préjugés : souvent il y a des grèves de transport. Train oui ! Bus non très peu de grèves ! I work at Engie based in winsford, Engie themselves seem a good company to work and they do make sure you are safe. The team running the contract are basically a working circus, if you are easily frustrated by daily office blunders then this job probably isn't for you, if you are smart and don't want to do much then this is your ideal job as office staff have no idea what you do as part of your day to day job. This is not there fault, they receive little training but most are nice enough personally. There is no stress of overwork, the stress on this contract is just office incompetence but if you can rise above this then this is actually quite a good job. There is a little bit of upper management ego that sometimes drifts down but if you smile and sign on the dotted line every now and then they drift back up into the land of unicorns. (Don't be put off by this as they are not a problem)
Office staff seem to "frightened" of upper management but most of this fear isn't upper managements fault, I think its because they are worried about being found out how terrible they are running the contract. ( again not office staffs fault, lack of resources and help from Engie themselves is doing this)
Pension is utter rubbish so if youre after this don't apply.
The contract I work on has good funding for some things and little for other things compared to other Engie contracts I hear about that isn't bad.
This is just a job and not a career, a career can only be carved out in winsford

my job was working with debt recovery, job role was helping to recoup money from customers who were in arrears with gas/power , when there was work to be done it was enjoyable - although quite boring when there wasn't any.
by far the quietest place I've ever worked, the majority of people seemed to keep to them selves, just didn't seem to be the energy and laughter you expect in a typical office.
Good support from management and employees when you needed it,seemed to be a workplace with limited opportunities for progression, a lot of the people who worked there had been in their job role for years. seemed to be the culture of being comfortable where you are.
I would recommend working here to someone as I enjoyed it but would advise you could be waiting a while to progress.
All though I cant blame management personally, the company showed me a lack of class in the end ,When COVID 19 hit and a lockdown was enforced , they only furloughed me for a month and a half.When I requested an extension they didn't have the bottle to respond to me , just outright ignored me. I thought this was nothing short of disgraceful as furloughing someone didn't cost them anything and just left me in a very uncertain situation.
The department who was responsible for the furlough scheme only responded when it suited them , when they did eventually respond it was only to pressure me to fill out the furlough form very quickly or else

It was petty little things like when you cleaned the toilets i was supposed to have left the seats wet and when you mopped the floor you left it too wet and it was really dangerous, I really dont think so.
The thing that really got me was i was supposed to of gone too fast in the car park, what it actually was someone thought my motorbike was too loud and instead of saying it was too loud they hadnt actually seen me speeding but put that down. Anyway no cctv was brought as any evidence i might add and if they had i would of put my hands up to it if i had been speeding, most people i saw went more than 5mph in the car park everyday and i didnt see them getting pulled up for it.
The thing is i found out who complained about me and he tried to talk to me afterwards as if nothing had happened the two faced.

Yes, the job task itself was easy, it wasn't challenging but to say you felt like you had completed a "good days work" was barely ever. The only enjoyable time for the employees I worked with was bank holidays, early finish around christmas and then most fridays as it was the weekend, there was not a single time whilst in the job itself where employees genuinely enjoyed being employed with this company, specifically the one in Blackpool

This company took over the maintenance contract I was on recently. They made a complete lash-up of the TUPE process, losing our personal information on two separate occasions. We have seen nothing of the higher level management, and the area manager seems to be avoiding any contact with his employees at all. Work-load has increased on the existing staff, despite additional staff being taken on to ease the workload. So far, in 4 months, we have had five employees signed-off work with work-related-stress on different occasions, with no follow-up from occupational health and no concern being shown by line managers. There seems to be a culture of intimidation, bullying and disinformation from line and upper management. I gave my notice recently with this company, I have received two emails asking me to fill in an on-line questionnaire as to my reasons for leaving and my satisfaction with thw company, these questionnaires are on the Engie portal, which I cannot access as they have not given me a log-in code for this. On my final week I received a rather intimidating “so you’re leaving, don’t disclose any company details or we’ll take further proceedings” letter. On my last day, they kept me working up to the last second of my contracted hours without even so much as a handshake and a “thank you for all you’ve done” from line management or above.
So, in all, my experience working for Engie has been a thoroughly unpleasant one, and I would not recommend working for these to anyon

Or get rid of that division completely by building it yourself and get rid of that group of toxic individuals that will eventually bring Engie to its knees because of their incompetence.
