The benefits are also unbelievable as well as a stock options are absolutely incredible once you get hired into management Eli Lily is one of the greatest companies that I’ve ever had the opportunity to work for.

Good place to work but like all global companies has its negative culture issues that must be navigated by career employees.
Lab hours are flexible for exempt level employees but fixed for hourly employees.
The organization transformed from a regional culture to a global culture during my forty years with the company.
Good work environment, but too many chiefs trying to direct every move. Top management is too reactionary to trends in the pharmaceutical industry. They tend to follow not lead industry changes.
Work culture tended to be a bit too "clickish," and not as meritorious as it should have been.
Doing a great job and not being rewarded properly for that work either in promotions or raises as your cohort.
The actual work was important and very rewarding over all four decades.

Typical work day
Eli Lilly & Company utilizes core working hours consisting of 9AM - 3PM, Monday through Friday. Although it is core hours for work/life balance, you are required to put in 40+ hours a week. It's important that your Outlook Calendar is up-to-date so your whereabouts are known.

Great team
Very diverse team, I am able to learn a lot about the business unit. I greatly enjoy the various people I am able to support on a daily basis. The hardest part is being a contractor and not being able to participate in team functions.

Great place to start with
It is a great learning experience with Lilly. Great salary, benefits and perk. Company is expanding big time in terms of ML career but for now they are in process of structuring the geographic location.
