Horrible Experience
Owners were god awful, and only cared about the store making money. When I left there were rat dropping everywhere, not to mention they made us use all fruit even if they were rotten and disgusting. The delivery drivers were reckless and at some points would not do their jobs but I was the one to get in trouble. Owners had zero respect for their employees. Glad I got out when I did. Only pro I can think of are a few of my coworkers, at least we had each others backs in this nightmare.

Great place to work, great team.
Although sometimes working long hours on weekends and holidays was tiring, management treated their employees absolutely wonderful. I did many different things here from answering a busy phone (clerical work), greeting customers walking through the door, helping make the arrangements, to also making deliveries. They would help make up for the long hours with bonuses we got, and taking us out for dinner and such. We were treated like we were family and that was the one thing I will miss about this place.

Horrible
The only good part about this job for me were the hours. There are absolutely no benefits and the pay is absolute garbage. The owner sucks and only cares about the business. Heaven forbid you have someone die. They'll fire you before they give you the day off for the funeral. One week you'll get 20 hours the next you're only scheduled for 9. I don't suggest working here at all.

Overall I was able to improve upon my customer service skills as well as stocking and inventory check skills. The workplace culture was fairly clean and friendly.

good
A typical day for me would be coming in at 8:00 a.m. to open the store. Meaning turning on all of the computers, lights and freezers. Start off by sending payroll to the owner so he can review the pay for last week. Order all produce, inventory and office supplies needed for the next week or two. At the end of the day clean up, turn everything back off after closing out. Counting monies and lock up the register and store. Keeping the store organized is the hardest part because your working at such a fast-paced environment. The Co-workers are always very nice, I am a person who can get along with anyone. I have learned so much working in this company. I have learned how to stay motivated in stressful times, how to become more organized. I also became more of a people person and learned how to do payroll, inventory and in the seven years of working there learned how to deal with complaints. The most enjoyable part is being able to talk to different people and resolving problems.
