Product First
This is their priorities: first m: engineering and product Second: customers as long as it does not interfere with the first. Third: distant last-employees.

It was a new company so everything was all over the place. But Mangement really worked with you. Come in sign into the phone systems and wait on the calls to come. Taking care of the customers needs rather it be issues with there unit, or needed a part. During our busy season we would place orders for our units. We would also do troubleshooting, replacements, spare parts
ProsMangers were great they really work with everyone’s situation
ConsPay, no holidays, no pro

Stay FAR Away
This is the worst work at home job I have EVER had. Zero organization within management. Pushed daily to make sales. Was not worth the $14.00 hr pay and benefits. Agents will lie on a daily basis to customers just to make a sale. If you love the cutthroat world of sales then this is the job for you!
ProsWork@Home
ConsSales Pressure Stress, Horrible Shift Options, Poor and Unorganized Management

Extremely stressful
Real eye opener on where you don't want to see yourself in the future. Management is never there when needed, you get penalized for using the restrooms(counts if you bonus or not), and extremely fast paced and stressful(work you till you are burned out).
ProsFree lunches & overtime to the max
ConsBurn out quickly/stressful environment

Not a bad place to work
The hours are good, but you are tied to the phone/desk for your entire shift. Dyson handles calls for the US and Canada, so most of your days are back to back calls, and it keeps you wayyyyy after hours to complete them all. Especially because we never had enough workers to stay at the job. The environment is good though. There are lots of different incentives to keep you motivated. The best part was learning about the new technology. It was great to hear about the company moving forward to bigger things.
ProsIncentives, Workmates
ConsShort breaks, Not enough workers

Working at Dyson is tricky
Working at Dyson can be tricky to pull off. The management paints a great picture that glitters however when you get down to it. It's not gold . Its seems you work more than your compensated for . Even when you'ved work at top performance . Management seems to look right past your efforts and drive you for more .

Very nice working environment
The typical day at work is typically full of innovative things happening all around the business buildings. I learned a lot about the industry problematic, dynamics and how to act under tight deadlines. The workplace culture is such that you never fill stressed and really enjoying meeting co-workers to discuss and solve engineering matters. The management style, however, should be improved. Since Dyson grew very quickly in the last few years the teams structures tend to vary significantly and therefore is very difficult to have a consistent judgement of your own work.
ProsFreedom to work and not feeling afraid of mistakes, flexible working hours
ConsQuality of performance evaluation (never been stable in the last six years)

Nice environment
I was working as a part timer in dyson, doing road shows and staying in retail shops from time to time. Pretty much the same as retail sales.. relaxed.

Questions And Answers about Dyson

What is the most stressful part about working at Dyson?
Asked Oct 26, 2016
The most stressful part would be a tie between the favoritism and the lack of support from mgmt. You can bust your butt and have the top survey score during one of the hardest months of the year but if you're not part of the in crowd nobody will care or recognize you for your hard work. We'll right now let's talk about the fact that you don't get support from your management team there were times when I would be having customers on hold waiting to get responses for managers or the manager would be aware of the issue and not respond with assistance wouldn't speak to the customer to offer that additional support. When my first manager left and the new one took over I can count on both hands the number of times I was thrown under the bus. Managers will deliberately make you wait when there's no one ahead of you getting help or they will start helping someone else in the middle of helping you. In the meantime let's go back to the politics of working at Dyson because that is by far one of the biggest concerns that inhibits morale. When customers call in sometimes they would leave a good feedback about their call. There would be emails sent sitewide recognizing that individual but only if you were one of the popular employees. I led the site with a 98.5% survey score last December and what recognition did I get? None. Not an attaboy from the ops manager, the VP of owner experience, or even my own supervisor. Like they didn't even notice. They didn't even care.
