Rampant with favoritism and employee neglect
I'm not a full-employee but am a contractor, and, when I was hired on with many others, the department I was in was going through a major shift as they had just been bought from Conduent and became DXC Technology (now Veritas Capital come the end of the year apparently). At first, the department was hectic and had trouble prioritizing training the new employees over doing their work, so most us spent a good 60% of our time for our first two months getting paid to just twiddle our thumbs at sit at our desks. Come the three month mark, and that's when many of us began getting work, but this is where the problems started seeping out as well. At the beginning of the month, the department supervisor brought every contractor into the department and went on a spiel that was interpreted by most of us to have been a promise of employment come the end of our contracts. Upon follow-up, that information fell through. In fact, out of all of the contractors (eight in total) that got hired alongside me, only two got hired on permanently, and, of those two, only one puts out work that is far superior to all of us other contractors; the other one puts out similar work to the rest of us (which is hard work from us all), but she clearly had more opportunities presented to her by having simply had the luck of sharing an office with two of the leads of on of the department teams, of which they were going to be shorthanded in the coming months. Mis-managed, understaffed, insecure workplace
After working 50-60hr weeks for 2 years for this company with no vacation, I was greeted with a surprise visit from my supervisor with "administrative leave" paperwork before being let go along with a few other people supposedly because the client they had a contract with had the power to fire people in our company whenever they felt like it. I lost a week's worth of sick time and had to pay for health care for 2 weeks before even getting my last pay check as they pretended I might actually keep the position. Before being advised I was let go, I was interrogated by some French Canadian upper management guy as if I was personally to blame for the mass layoff they were facing. There was no warning to this layoff even though management knew about the possibility MONTHS IN ADVANCE! If you're interested in working in I.T., DO NOT START HERE! DXC will leave a bad taste in your mouth for years to come. The worst part about this company is having 12 different people calling you, emailing, texting you, messaging you with demands about progress, inventory status, ticket status, etc, etc with no one manager taking responsibility for assisting you in doing the job of 5 people. In fact even though I was assigned a manager at first, I was assigned 6 different managers within just a few months and at some points I had no manager at all. Horrific management, Unfair wages and just overall a toxic atmosphere.
I worked for the company under contractors, and directly for them for multiple years. I can say that neither experience was pleasant. The teams are typically understaffed, and only certain employees are expected to actually work. Some teams spend entire shifts watching movies while the other is working. If one team has no work they are not expected to help the other team even though both teams are cross trained. No management on site whatsoever. There was no lead. So it was a free-for-all, and if you have a good work ethic you will be the only one working while others lazily get paid to do nothing. If you try to bring it up to management on day-shift nothing will be done at all. It was one of the truly most toxic work environments i've ever worked in. They hire new employees at higher wages than existing employees to draw new hires in. However, most new hires wont stay because even they see how unfair/toxic the work environment is. You're also typically told you will be starting days on site support, or generally not told what you will be doing at all. Then once you arrive it's completely different than what they explained, if they took the time at all in the interview. If you're lucky you'll get a trainer who cares to train you, or one that isn't burnt out from the job. One of the worst places I ever worked
I did appreciate the flex hours that we were allowed to have so we could work our hours instead of having to use vacation or sick time. Other than that, the company was extremely disorganized. Very little training, and there was no dedicated trainer, so everyone had a different way to process things. In addition, the written directions to process things were extremely vague (leading to a lot of different interpretations), or having directions changing as much as several times in a day. No raises or COLA given in over five years. I started out as a temp with this company - the temp agency sent me for an interview, and I was hired. I applied for a position in my department when it was posted about a year later but didn't get it, even though the boss said she was happy with my work. About 4 months later, another position in the department became open, and I applied for it. I finally got a permanent position with the company, But the crazy thing was the boss said she didn't realize I had all the related experience and related education. I was going to flip - it was evident she never looked at my resume the first two times it was presented to her. In addition, if there are any work concerns or issues, there company is reactive rather than proactive, and really won't take any action to correct things if they could get away with it. Worst Company Ever Worked For
I have worked for 13 different companies since 1993. I can honestly say that my experience with DXC has been the worst. Revolving door upper and mid management, no raises, no oversight over local onsite management, poor review process, overall lack of common sense to their organizational structure and processes. Typical Day at work: Login from home, do reports, check email, attend an occasional meeting. My job was to internally support those assigned to the customer. DXC is a combination of Hewlett-Packard Enterprise employees and CSC employees, merged into one. The cause of that merger was thousands of "pink slips" to be issued for duplicate work. The organization has at least 3 different time-keeping systems and Human Resource managers are expected to navigate all three. Prior to becoming DXC, "the name on the door" for me was Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Prior to that, it was Hewlett Packard, and prior to that (before my time) it was EDS. Many of my older co-workers had been EDS legacy employees. What I learned: When a company shows you what it's like, it will never change (positive or negative), so if you don't like it, get out. Workplace Culture: Low morale due to lack of raises, revolving HR management, thousands of firings, and no advancement opportunities. We were required to come in 15 minutes before our shift started to work out of our email without being paid. The only way to move up or get treated fairly is to know someone in management or be willing to work for free. The metrics were unrealistic. Management doesn't call back clients who needed extra assistance or needed to complain which means most of our calls were providers trying to get ahold of management. You don't have time to call people back when you tell them you are going to. This leads to a hostile work environment with providers calling into the call center incredibly angry. You have 1 - 2 weeks to learn everything about AR Medicaid and how the system works which is unrealistic. They do not train their reps and then employees get reprimanded for trying to assist the reps that haven't been trained properly. They will also lay off their vets to hire people off the street at a lower salary and so they don't have to pay for their retirement. Their disability people are impossible to work with. You can have short term disability and be paid for it and then be denied for long term disability. While that is happening, you will not be paid. You cannot look for a job to supplement your income or you will be denied and will have to go back to work full time with no exceptions. You just have to wait for them to approve or deny. Since you have no income coming in and you are technically on disability, DXC does not provide insurance. You have to pay for it out of your own p

Was hired as Security Administrator. The position was with no privileges as an administrator. The day consisted of created Orders in Service Now which went to other departments for Phone, Oracle Access, Citrix, Interchange, Sending emails to other departments to give users access. There wasn't any training as all the papers that were shown on how to perform the work. All the training was to hand out written documents which the illustrations were based off of Remedy; which was not used any longer. When presented the job they wanted Heavy Active directory experience. The only Active directory function we had access too was to reset a users password. It was working for the State of Tennessee's Tenncare division in Nashville, TN. The State Supervisor rarely knew how to answers questions to the issues we faced. Very high turnover rate. Others made lot of mistakes due to how unorganized the department was handled. The position was more of a Secretary job asking other departments to give access through email and creating Service desk tickets in Service Now. Supervisor would text my phone late at night wanting the other teammates to go out to Karaoke at local bars. at your own expense and would have group time at your own expense during lunch. If you did not attend they acted like you were an outcast. That caused issues at home with my wife as she did not like the text and being invited to get out late at night to go to bars.

DXC stay away gave four years after being acquired.
I have given it four years to try and make this work. Came from an acquired Microsoft Delivery ERP company. We are now on leader number seven 7 with still no clear goals or direction for the Microsoft practice. This is a practice that was over 1100 people strong in 2018 and today is under 200 delivery personal. Those number are not due to redundancy and streamline it’s from poor management and even worse corporate support of the practice. Also at this point there are three senior leaders left from the acquired companies and only one of them is from the Microsoft Dynamics practice. They are on the way out as well. There are current no active projects that have not lost staff due to attrition, and not one green project. If your looking for a case study on what not to do with a particle this is it. If your looking to have one of the worst experiences you can in the Microsoft partner network then this place is for you. Anything after this will seem like a vacation. There was a congratulations email that we were able to keep the resignations to single digits so far this month, but we are only halfway through it and as the bonus payout just happened so that will change. If you got no other options it’s better then collecting unemployment I guess. I never have collected it so can’t really say.

No Raises, Despite Excellent Performance
DXC Corporate cares very little about the Medicaid offices, and it shows with the company culture. 3 years with no raises, or even a cost of living increase. All of this despite excellent performance reviews and great client feedback. I'm taking home less money now than when I started because insurance costs keep going up. Salary is low compared to Madison market value, and we've lost a ton of experienced people because of it. No one seems to care. There's room to grow in theory, if they'd stop bringing on contractors with no Medicaid experience. That being said, there's very little incentive to take on more work, as you will never be rewarded for it. The overall morale in the building is not good at all and I can't imagine it's going to change any time soon. "Unlimited" vacation is just a way to avoid paying out PTO when an employee leaves. It's fine as long as you work here, but learn the policy and make sure it's being followed. Take advantage of it, as it's the only employee perk you'll get. The best thing about working here are the dedicated employees, and the client is nice to work with. But that won't make up for your stagnant salary and unrewarded performance, and those great coworkers keep leaving for other places. It's a great place to earn experience, but I wouldn't recommend staying long.

Consider carefully
A good place to gain experience, it may not be a big name, but it is a global player. Consider it a place to gain specific experience - don't expect support, don't expect development and don't expect longevity, The global mission is basically the old "shareholder value is all" sweat and dump game. The merger of CSC, UXC, Fruition, and HPES is still more in name than fact and the complete lack of integration of companies, systems or processes has made a jumbled mess to navigate or be productive within. There are some really good staff with great skills in this company ... a few teams have a great bond and are more family than colleagues. However, mostly it seems that staff are either trapped or lured in by obfuscation, omission and outright lies. Likewise, some really good local managers exist, but they are effectively drowned out by the global executive attitude towards staff and the drive for ever increasing and unrealistic metrics. There is a nervous and toxic culture based on a mix of police state policies, cuts in benefits, no pay raises (they were disconnected from the annual appraisal system and if given - have rarely provided any increases [under 4%] over the last five years) and on top of all of that, there is the continuous threat of restructuring, divestitures and redundancies which means most staff spend far more time waiting or volunteering for the axe to fall upon their necks. Aplikowałam na stanowisko Junior HR & Payroll Administration Specialist with Italian. Proces rekrutacji trwał w nieskończoność. Najpierw prawie godzinna rozmowa telefoniczna, podczas której rekruterka zadała mi mnóstwo pytań i sprawdziła mój poziom znajomości języka angielskiego. Potem przez jakiś miesiąc zero odpowiedzi, nawet już zapomniałam, że brałam udział w rekrutacji. Pewnego dnia zadzwonił telefon i pewien pan zaprosił mnie na rozmowę kwalifikacyjną w siedzibie firmy. Poszłam, straciłam kolejną godzinę na rozmowę z dwoma rodowitymi Włochami. Obiecano mi dać odpowiedź w ciągu dwóch tygodni. Po mniej więcej 3 tygodniach otrzymałam automatyczną odpowiedź, że niestety nie zakwalifikowałam się. Już pogodziłam się z decyzją rekruterów. Po upływie kolejnych kilku tygodni znowu niespodziewanie zadzwonił telefon. Była to ta sama pani rekruterka, z którą odbyłam rozmowę po włosku w siedzibie firmy. Zapytała, czy dalej jestem zainteresowana tą pracą, jaki jest mój okres wypowiedzenia i jakie są moje oczekiwania finansowe. Kiedy odpowiedziałam na to ostatnie pytanie, rekruterka zaczęła pytać, czy możemy jeszcze negocjować w tej sprawie (a wcale nie były wygórowane). Good if you have a good manager
This place is decent if you have a good manager, luckily I do, however the department is becoming more pressured and stressful every day. Training is lacking though, even for apprentices, there simply aren't enough staff to train new people after multiple rounds of redundancies, this in turn has impacted morale. The staff that have been there for years don't have anything good to say about the company. This can give you a jaded view of the company if you take them at face value. The people generally are okay but there seems to be a massive disconnect between senior management and the 'workforce on the ground'. They've made loads of staff redundant and brought lots of apprentices/contractors in with hardly any fully trained permanent staff to train them - then expect results, apprentices are even training contractors, that's how little staff they have left that are fully trained. Personally I haven't had much training, you basically have to wing it and hope for the best. The working environment is very stressful and all management care about is tickets, tickets, tickets. The supervisors are generally very understanding though, it's the higher ups that are the issue, but they put pressure on the supervisors to reduce the ticket queue, so inevitably to people at the very bottom of the food chain including apprentices end up pressured, too much in my opinion. I would implement a real review system based on each position's merits, versus a blanket review system, regardless of position. I would retool HR to have much more power than it does for hiring/firing, like a real HR department has. I would put some real teeth and backbone in the Ethics group so that they can truly weed out bad apples. If I promise a raise to the bottom 1/3 of the company, I would make sure I could afford it first, rather than fire thousands of people in order to make it happen. I would implement a real raise in pay system, versus the non-existent system in place. And I wouldn't make blanket decisions that corrupt leaders could use to get rid of people that do a good job, but they themselves just don't like. Also, if employees ask for a different position within the company, it should be HR's duty to make that happen, not ignore it.

Flexible hours 8:am to 4:pm weekly total 40 hours no overtime, but my first priority clean my Queue smart it ticket-console i don't like any pending task without any major incident, so ours my 2nd priority and my 1st priority asap finish my responsibility without any defect.
