It was ok
Worse management ever but what can you do. A lot of favoritism going, it was obvious. I did too for too little pay, I had to leave & health benefits weren't that good.
ProsMet my husband there
ConsWorse management ever

High Energy and Fast Paced
Older hotel with an incredible demand for Hilton members. Difficult atomsphere and busy at all times. The type of place you cut your teeth on and it will make you better in the long run for your career. Great people work here and after some renovations being completed it should be an exemplary hotel.

Fast paced environment where you meet a lot of people
At times it can be very busy at the Doubletree, but it makes the day go by fast. You will meet a lot of people from all over the world, most of whom are nice. But you do get entitled rude guests at times.

too much favoritisim
Too many "old timer" clicks that do not adapt to change.
Even though Hilton took over from Crowne Plaza, they really need to do some spring cleaning and hire new & fresh staff including HR.
Prosfront desk staff are the best
Constoo many negative & lazy staff in the restaurant

Overall I have a great experience.
Be confident and be yourself always. Give all your effort and always smile to the guest or customer. Try to solve the problem as soon as possible and focus on what you do.

Great fun
I began working as front desk agent,I had worked all shifts. Given the ability to work all issues from check-in, check out and closing the day. Then when I was prompted to do reservation this was for me. I enjoyed helping guest coordinating things for arrival. Just daily accounting task, management giving me opportunity to challenge my knowledge.
Prosprefect work schedule

They dont care for there staff
I worked there a year my boss was verbally and physically abusive to the staff. I was Excutive Admistive Assistant to the Chef of Engineering .. I tried to report what was going to the hotel manager and she call him and told him everything I told her them I went to HR depart like 3 or 4 months later and she did the same thing.. I tried to contact Hilton dirrectly to no reply till I had no other place to turn and walked off the job ..
