The main thing they care a out is keeping the shelves stocked
Well you cant work there and expect to pay Bill's with your check. When hired I said I had to have full time and no less than approximately 34 hours. I was told I'd be cross trained so I could get the hours. Well first couple weeks got close then lucky to get 10 hours a week. Ended up losing my truck cause there was no way to pay Bill's and keep gas to go to work when they decided. Couldn'go anywhere or make plans cause
ProsThe people i worked with was great
ConsThe job i had was harder than the rest and pay wasnt worth it.

Could do worse.....
Pay could be quite a bit better. That being said they were willing to bring me in to a management position months ago after being forced out of my former position by a two faced, favorites playing, manipulating, my stuff doesn't stink b****. Several ASMs have come and gone on my watch but I'm still swinging.

The best part of working for Dollar Tree is when you quit
Once again, I am completely in awe at the level of incompetence afforded by a company. Their middle Management (at least in my District and Region, specifically my DM) has about as much intelligence and common sense as a common houseplant. It's truly magnificent to watch. I'd have been better off working for a monkey helping him throw shirt (minus the R) against a wall to see if we could paint a perfect replica of Da Vinci's Mona Lisa... Only thing I can say to prospective employees looking for work is: Run. The other way. As quickly as possible. Garden hole (minus Garden and L)yourself, be a mule for the cartel, be a test subject for military biological weapons... even a crash test dummy has a better chance of living the dream and living their job than you will working for the shirt (you get the picture)show that is Dollar Tree.
ProsWatching Management in action... it's freaking hilarious. Bathroom breaks.
ConsEverything, except bathroom breaks

The work is'nt hard, its just hard finding someone to work.
The pay is ridiculous which is why it's so hard to keep anyone along with the fact that the big managers lie a lot when it comes to pay increase. You're over worked & underpaid especially in promotions.

Very bad culture, small headquarter, no opportunities for advancement
Very bad culture, small headquarter, no opportunities for advancement. Company doesn't believe in work/life balance. Required to work weekends.

I started as a cashier with limited experience, in six months, I became an assistant manager. In a year, I was merchandise manager. I received bonuses every three months.

typical retail environment
overworked, underpaid-pretty standard at the tree. they expect you to get everything done with little to no hours. when management likes you, it’s an easy place to advance in but if you have one upper level person not like you, game over (luckily not the case for me). i got cancer while working here and my district manager wanted me fired because i was missing work. the board of directors cut the bonus program for assistant managers while simultaneously giving themselves some of the biggest bonuses in retail history. that is what is making me leave this place. we are just pawns to line the pockets of a handful of people.
