busy fixer
The work can be fun, however I often felt like I was babysitting the employees. That was only when I, in my HR capacity, was even included on any event. It has been made clear that HR isn't always welcome in any discussion or in any of the operations. There is a very large learning curve with this position.

Good Opportunity
DNATA _can be a relaxed/work atmosphere, the only thing missing is the pay to match the man-hours serviced. Business and professionalism is unquestioned. I honestly have nothing negative to say about this company.

Good People, Bad Infastructure
The company is good at making promises that they don’t keep. Everyday is a struggle and the higher-ups don’t want to fix the root of the problems. Instead they implement new policies and programs that only mask the problem. They put people in positions that they are unsuited for and then bash you for not completing a task fast enough. The work/life balance is atrocious.

This company need to cater more to there employee...they need go around and see the strength and weakness and work one on one with each worker. I really learn more my second time around as a GSE apprentice .lots of very important fact about equipment and the operation. Two man team ...this promotes for hands on and focus training.

Great place to work with respectable colleagues
A typical day consisted with a random pick of duties after the end of daily briefings. I learned the key aspects to all my job responsibilities and professional customer care. The workplace was cultured and understanding of all needs. It had a positive atmosphere.
Prosfriendly community
Conswide scale communication is lacking.

Fun
As a flight operations controller we have a variable shift schedule with minimum of 48 hours per week basis. I've learn a lot of airline matters thru trainings and experiences. I love the pressure of some unusual events, love to share experiences with some airline crew and colleagues, I love the noise and smell of jet fuel when visiting the ramp. The hardest part is during typhoon season. Overall it was a good experience

Horrible
Only good thing about this job is the pay. However if they stealing your hours and showing favoritism on who gets OT then you more than likely won’t be seeing the money you think you’d be seeing.. management and HR are in cahoots with each other. They will over work you then talk bad things about you behind your back . If you show any signs of standing up for yourself you will become a targeted employee
ProsThe money, if/when they pay you correctly
ConsEverything else.. management is horrible . And if you call them out, you will become a target and since it’s non union, it’s an at Will job which means they can let you go for any reason and believe me they will .

Emirates is a very fun place to work with wit multi cultural people around us.
The work life in dnata is always busy and tight. Everyday I learn new things which did mark my career chart go high. The hardest part of the job would be precisely the IT problems we occur during invoicing. The most enjoyable part of the job is the work timings and less work pressure.

Productive and exciting work place
as I started to work at Dnata, I did not notice how long I've been there already since I was enjoying my shift everyday, I was able to be at my best, I was able to bring the best version of myself with this company, I learned how to challenge my self to be better, with regard with the management they have taught me how to be responsible enough in terms of the work etiquette, while for the workplace culture employees of dnata are culturally diverse, the hardest part of my job is I think is to be carefully on processing the staff's record while the most enjoyable part of it is being able to help the customers and being able to interact with different kind of people with different kind of culture.

Questions And Answers about dnata

What is the most stressful part about working at dnata?
Asked May 20, 2018
Horrible management, worked like a dog for little pay, extreme favoritism, select few do all the work while others do nothing and get paid.
Answered Jun 15, 2021
Dnata is the worse place to work at . They don’t care about you ..they use you until you’ve had enough. Everything is unorganized, managers always have favoritisms. They don’t play by the book .checks are messed up on a daily. Your gonna work extra hard if your short staffed. God forbid someone call you ..you gotta do your job and theirs. The only con i would say is we get paid every Friday ..

If you were in charge, what would you do to make dnata a better place to work?
Asked Mar 9, 2018
Supervisors should make sure people actually work. Workers complain about people not working but no one listens. Show appreciation to the people that actually do a good job. Bring back yearly raises
Answered Jun 15, 2021
Hiring people a could give jobs in time not to stock them in camps for moths waiting when to be deployed as its being done

What is the interview process like at dnata?
Asked May 16, 2018
There isn't one. You show up in regular street clothes, fill out the papers and if you pass your drug test and background check you are hired. You can get hired with a record just not certain felonies. Also many people use masking agents to pass the drug test because so many people use drugs.
Answered Jun 22, 2021
For the Interview, it was really easy. They just ask you honest questions about yourself and how you would play out roles especially during difficult situations . This job consists of good and bad situations where it might be difficult for a person to handle . So they just want to make sure your up for it. And not walk away if it does become difficult with a passenger or job duties that might extend longer than your schedule time. This is a company that started and it’s growing. Pay is good, benefits of no flying but we have to understand this is a company growing, maybe in the future company might change that. If you have your mind set on “ flying benefit “ . Then try an actual airline. One key thing to remember in any airline/ 3rd party for an airline, high season means over time and low season means 20-30 hours .

What advice would you give the CEO of dnata about how to improve it?
Asked May 16, 2018
Hire competent management across the board from station manager down to supervisors and leads. Stop putting unqualified people into positions they can't handle.
Answered Jun 15, 2021
An employee who shows how hard they work, never late, volunteered to work through furlough, as other agents said No.... But then the agents who did work gets rewarded by being made redundant and the agents who said No get retained. Brilliant reward. Favouritism....

What tips or advice would you give to someone interviewing at dnata?
Asked Mar 9, 2019
Be prepared to work for your money.
Answered Dec 22, 2019
Think 3 time before to apply. Human resources going to offer you something very different that you won't find. Is a good job like a part time and people with out responsibilities. Is not a good job if you are a head of family. The complicate schedule and sometimes the delays of the plane it does not allow you to do something else.
