A world wide experiance
Working for Disney is a lot of peoples dream and I understand why. You meet and interact with people from all over the world and you get to be a part of something magical. All that being said I've worked for the company for three years and have had a couple of unfortunate event happen where I am reminded that I am just a number to them.

high stress but fun workplace
Working in MK QSFB can be very high stress, especially because of the location I was at. There was always something to be done and we rarely got a chance to relax. Some of our leaders were very hard on us and every cast member noticed a sense of favoritism in the location. Some cast members were able to sit around and do next to nothing while others, including myself and other CPs, were expected to pick up their slack while also doing our jobs and were yelled at if our work started to suffer. With this said I would call my location a giant dysfunctional, but functional family. We had some bad cast members that made everyone's lives harder and made work not worth it, but we all got along at the end of the day. We got in arguments and made each other mad, but it was all out of love and we got over it by the next day. Like any job there are good days and bad days, but the people I met and happiness I made for guests was worth it, so I would not change my experience for the world.
ProsFree park entry, family like community, always have something to do
Consshort breaks, favoritism, high stress

I love working for Disney Cruise Line
I love working for the Disney Company. the culture the way they treat there crew everything. They are all about promoting within and finding future leaders of within the company. I love that. The leadership teams are amazing and always have an open door policy. I recommend any one that wants a fun but also a great learning experience to apply.

Hard work, for very little acknowledgment.
You work every day, no days off. And it takes years to get any kind of appreciation or promotion into a different position. (Unless you’re super nice to your boss or your boss is your best friend)

Fun job for people who like people
Working in the park can be both fun and frustrating. The hours can be demanding especially during peak season. The management is hit and miss. You have some who care and would love to help you develop your skills. And others who are just there to feed their own egos or exercise their authority. All in all you won't get rich working there but the job can be fulfilling and their are numerous opportunities to move to other areas of the park.
ProsPeople, employee events, unigue work envirionment.
ConsLow pay, long hours, lots of standing and walking.

Efficient and Fun Place to work
Great place to move up in the company as long as you have clear direction and education in mind. Great hours, great people. The most enjoyable part of the job is seeing the constant evolution of the property and being a part of it.
ProsPay, Security, Efficiency, Part of Change
ConsRandom Hours of Work, Under Qualified Shift Leaders/Management, Parking

Great Company, no faith in management
I have worked almost half my life @ Disney, I love so many aspects of it, but my leadership of the last 8 years has lacked as there is no interest of who our Team is and what we represent. My Team had so much to offer and we trained thousands of Cast to ensure that they are safe in their work environment with our On-Boarding Program.
It was difficult to manage a Team when our Director was in Florida and he rarely traveled to understand his Team in Anaheim. My Team felt abandoned, and there wasn't any recourse as our leadership was absent and absent minded. My manager at the time routinely asked my Cast what they do on an everyday basis. He has managed this Team for 8 years, and he never understood what our Team does.
When a Senior Manager gives out personal cell phone #'s, there isn't a confidentially understanding as the craft, which our hourly/union aren't required to communicate on personal devices.
At a loss. Disney is not the company I hired into 20 years ago.
