Productive and comfortable place to work.
DialAmerica has several job options typically, allowing you to move between or another if you are having trouble, or prefer another program. The people working there are nice and the management and higher ups try their best to help you succeed with whatever program you are placed in.

Horrible company with no job security and no room for raises or advancement
Dialamerica is not where you want to work. They say you’ll be paid one thing, and if you blink your eye they take it from you. Don’t call off, you’ll get written up and threatened to be fired…managers play favorites, pay is horrible, rules are horrible, run if you think this is a good fit…RUN!
ProsNone
ConsYou are clocked second by second even when you need to use the restroom.

A job that will sap you of body and mind, BEWARE
DialAmerica will forever stand as one of the worst jobs I've ever worked at. Where to start. When hired on, you will be told about how easy and great this job is. Just read the script, be friendly and you'll get sales eventually right? The harsh reality is that this job has nothing you'll enjoy. The script is robotic and emotionless. You aren't even allowed to be yourself, you're way of building rapport is to ask them how the weather is. Furthermore, getting sales doesn't even alleviate those woes as your bonus will be determined by a little playwheel with fun prizes such as lottery tickets, bargain bin dvds, and if you're lucky, 1-5$ added to your paycheck. You won't be able to enjoy any full-time benefits, because they'll do their best to schedule you under 40 hours. Attendance and breaks are a joke, You get 15 mins per day that you have, if you go anywhere over, you get counted as late, even if you were there on time, and left on time. The culture is a mess, most of the managers, upper management don't understand the basics of how normal people's lives work. The rule system ties you down to your desk, your best bet in keeping sane is finding someone to talk with. Advancement opportunities consist of changing to different programs, and then maybe getting a recommendation of becoming a manager, but even then, your pay gets shot up from 10$ to 12$ so it's not much of an upgrade. There's more numerous things but unless you need money, and places around are taken, stay c
ProsBreak room has food you can buy at somewhat ok prices, 45 minute lunch/dinner breaks
Cons15 min "breaks", low pay, no drink or food allowed on desks, low morale, strict script

Very Low Pay
The pay was horrible and there really was not a lot of room for growth to try and make up for the pay. There are no real benefits of the job and it's really not worth the time and stress.
ProsBreak Room
Conslow pay

They won't fire you
Employees do not have mgmt support. Most mgmt/supervisors are untrustworthy, they don't support employee integrity. Best part of job: meeting some genuinely nice coworkers; worst part; mgmt will find some way to keep you from making you weekly tally of hours so you don't get your weekly incentive. Really, the pits -- can't trust any type of leadership.
ProsAvailability of hours for work, including overtime
ConsMgmt untrustworthy - they'll stick you in the back to gain points for themselves.

Pretty good company, just terrible pay
DialAmerica is a typical call center with a crew that is willing to help you advance, however the pay is not the best. They are flexible with scheduling and will work with your needs if you communicate it to them

Caution
They treated their workers like robots. The pay could definitely be better but they low ball, micro-aggression among management. Almost impossible to be happy at work

Flexibility
They have both inbound and outbound calls. Very flexible days and hours. With hard work, dedication and long hours the pay is very good. Not much room for advancement within the company.

Fast paced environment.
Dial America was a fun place to work. They offered sales incentives which was nice. The incentives encouraged employees to make more sales. More often than not you would be rewarded with a one dollar scratch off lottery ticket for sales. They had a very diverse sales floor that was typically energetic and fun to be apart of. Management and supervisors were always helpful and encouraging.

Questions And Answers about DialAmerica

What is the interview process like at DialAmerica?
Asked Feb 9, 2016
Was quick and pleasant.
Answered Sep 12, 2019
I received phone call this morning and told little about myself ,work history and they scheduled interview for this afternoon. If I get hired, I'll start training next week. The lady was super nice and was impressed with me.

If you were in charge, what would you do to make DialAmerica a better place to work?
Asked Jan 10, 2018
Need more professional management .They're loud and don't care about us agents trying to hear customers and completing the sale. Also stop telling new employees one rate then it's different after you start. Also, the rules about attire. they say one thing then you are folks wearing what they say you can't. And the weed people smoke on break and lunch and come back in and you choke from the smell and lose your sell. Also the help when you need it is not always around and when you ask they sometimes look disappointed when they throw you out there without the proper training. And now that I'm typing this I'm not getting 8 hours I'm getting 7 1/2 Due to not getting paid for 30 min. lunch break and I sit until it's over because I need every dime. Every job should be at $15/hour start.

Honestly, the pay is below market for the area and corporate is really uninterested in changing that. I would make a higher base pay for employees and use less incentives to give people the "hope" of making more and instead ensure they can actually rely on a steady income.

Do they hire felons.
Asked Apr 22, 2017
Yes They hire felons, Anyone who can read gets hired
Answered Oct 24, 2018
Yes they do hire felons. I have spent the better part of 6 months listening to a woman talk non stop about being on drugs and the crimes that she committed. One being stealing people's personal information (she is employed on an ID Theft program!). Also there is a newly minted coaching specialist on the floor who as an agent would speak of her illegal activities. You never know who you are sitting next to so be careful.

What are dial americas benefits for workimg for them? Is there paid vacation?
Asked Feb 19, 2016
I guess it depends on the location you work at. At the Athens, GA location the benefits are limited. There is health insurance which is a pretty big chunk of your check and does not offer many options. There is no paid vacation or sick time. You get 2 bereavement days for immediate family members (mother, father, spouse, sibling, child) and management at this location is very insensitive when you have a death in the family.
Answered Oct 17, 2018
No no paid vacation when i was there
