I worked at Diagio as a consultant on 3 separate assignments. Each of the hiring managers was welcoming and gave me the resources and information I needed to be successful. They clearly care about the employees.

Productive fun place to work at.
Great portfolio of wines when they had them before they sold the business off to concentrate on Spirits portfolio. Great pay, great culture, wonderful people to work with.

Great place to work
Loved my job. Except management never checked the call out line to see who wasnot coming into work on that shift. Loved the free liquor and the summer shut breaks and Christmas shut down as well. Upper management changed at the plant to often every so many years . They didn't keep the good managers they kept the dumb ones who knew nothing and shouldnot had a job. The union pay was off the chart . The benefits were great as well more then on opition all the time. They never wanted to fix stuff. Are uniforms were always screwed up or you got someone else's from another company. Sometimes you got them at all.

Fun work place
Many challenges the re-org done every year makes the employees feel uneasy and uncertain. The diversity of employees and accounts are always fun & a challenge at the same time.
ProsThe in-house cafeteria is a bonus also the Thurday bar nights had some interesting entertainment.
ConsCommute & Traffic leading up to this building is horrible.

We would see a 20-25% rate of people let go annually.
This would cause great concern for even the higher performers.
Nobody would sleep well, at all.
We were surrounded by many intelligent people that would, lift our game everyday.

Great Company / Amazing Brands
Overall I think Diageo is a fantastic place to work. The brands are iconic and the people are smart, engaged and resourceful. Diageo has provided outstanding support during COVID, increased our PTO and provides nationally leading parental leave of 6 months for all employees. Culture is great, with the exception of frequent reorganization’s. On the down side pay has slipped a bit and is starting to slide towards under market for longer term employees vs new hires who are getting market rates. Off shoring has reduced the number of Director and VP positions making advancement more challenging unless you are willing to go international.

Great place to work supporting global hundred plus year old brands. Cohesive global team and camaraderie.
Worked with the program management team as an Enterprise Architect. The team was dynamic and supported a global voice and video transformation.
The culture is one that I took great pride being part of as Diageo manages global brands, some over 100 years old such as Guinness and Johnny Walker.
The most challenging aspect of the role was a relatively slow paced approval process for certain resources.
The best part was working with a great team and nailing a great project.

Fantastische werkgever
Pas als je er niet meer werkt, weet je wat je geleerd hebt. Bij DIAGEO leerde ik niet alleen op het hoogste niveau Marketing & communicatie Management en Directorship, maar ook de commerciële en sales kant van merkmanagement. Daarnaast is de skill development (stakeholder management, presenteren, etc) ongekend.
