fast paced - focus on merchandise and customer service
Good benefits for full timers, weekends are busy. In my capacity there is a lot of behind the scenes work. Making the schedule, managing the team, ensure merchandise placement.

Work Life Balance
I usually did the cash management in the mornings (only a 3-4 hour shift). Counting all registers from previous business day, making sure all was evened out. Ordering change when necessary. Pay was good because I would get a solid raise every year.

Chill place to work
It was a laid back work environment holiday season was extremely busy , They no longer give cash back for returns so that was a big deal when it first started

Okay Job
No career advancement what so ever. I worked here for two years and some. i did stock, cashier, sales floor, loss prevention, even the backup manger on duty you thought a raise or management position wouldve been in my near future! I quit

Always busy
Dd's discounts is a great place to work. They are always busy and very rarely have slow moments. The management there are great. Everyone is friendly.

working in retail is very different and stressful but the people you work around with makes it fun and productive area.

Best part of working in retail is if your a people person and love interaction with others this is a place to work.
Cons
Downside is that sometimes with all the experience you have it sometimes makes you a target for other employees who are there just to go through the motion and get paid, rather than see others promote to a higher level.
Advice to Management
Sadly I heard that the management team when I was there are no longer at the location. New management need's to work on their people skills

In charge of Women’s, Juniors, Ladies and Lingerie. Making sure that the
racks are stocked and the clothes are in order. Also worked the cash register,
and assisted customers whenever necessary.Also stocked the floor with new product.
