Great Place to Work as an engineer
Cummins has a variety of engineering disciplines which promote critical thinking, work-life balance, and is a diverse place to come to work.
I have learned foundation on engineering skills and developed a great network of colleagues at the company.

Was very stable employment in my role.
I learned from Cummins about how corporate America functions in the real world. I was allowed to take on projects ad hoc and incorporate them into my role.

Cummins Business Services at Elm Hill Pike does a tremendous job fostering a great community for its employees. It offers tremendous benefits and is competitive with other employers in the metro area.

Environment applicable but not proactive in my work area
Only a temp position hoping for full time with them Did not happen. At time of interview they stated a possibility of full time but at the end of contract I was not offered the position.

Cummins gives you experience for everything!
I will always look back at my experience working at Cummins as a fond one. Though my personal life was a train-wreck at that time I could never complain about my job. I went further in one year than many employees before me had excelled in 3 years it was all about timing. That's not to say that cummins provides room for growth and to move up the ladder in a variety of fields. When working with Cummins I always looked forward to going to work each day!

Poor treatment of employees
Management bullies people and makes you feel unworthy
Safety is nothing more than a conversation and an expense
Lack of Prejob training makes it unsafe and broken equipment remains in use

Brilliant company to work for 👍
I was only there on a contractual basis, but the management was brilliant. Communication between levels of management could have been a bit better, but overall I feel they deserve respect. A lot of female upper-level positions,
and deservedly so. And, Cara, in particularly, will continue to hold a place in my heart as an absolutely brilliant mentor.
ProsFemale management
ConsBetter communication internally
