You will also assist other contractors as needed by providing excellent customer service while maintaining high standards of quality workmanship. Duties

The construction foreman is responsible for the construction of new buildings. The person in this position will be a full-time employee. Work involves heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) on ladders up to 100 feet above ground level; climbing stairs as well as scaffolding at heights over 200 feet from rooftop to ceiling; standing upright during work hours while working under pressure; walking through various terrain, including concrete, asphalt, steel, etc.

Detailed job duties include:

  • Work with the construction team to complete all work in a timely manner.
  • Maintain safety of crew members, equipment, materials and tools.
  • Work closely with other employees on project tasks, including scheduling meetings and managing schedules.
  • Perform pre-construction inspections.
  • Provide training regarding job duties.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records related to assigned projects.
  • Develop detailed plans that include cost estimates, time sheets, budgets, labor costs, quality control and customer service.

Qualification

  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions
  • Must have the ability and willingness to learn new skills, as well as experience with construction equipment
  • Ability to work independently is essential
  • Able-bodied person who can lift up 50 pounds without assistance
