Overview

We are a family owned and operated electrical contracting company with over 50 years of experience. Our electricians provide quality service to our customers with services using electric meters, transformers, power tools, generators and other related tools. The company is currently seeking a commercial electrician for our New York City office. The person in this position will be responsible for performing all electrical work on residential properties as well as commercial buildings.

Duties

The electrician will be responsible for the electrical installation and maintenance of commercial electric systems. This includes wiring, transformers, switches, meters, switchgear, power equipment. Must be able to install new circuits in residential buildings or other areas as needed, perform routine inspections on all types/models of electrical systems (electronic, gas, diesel) and ensure that they are working well. Must maintain proper records.

Detailed job duties include:

  • Perform electrical work in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Attend training meetings to advance skills, knowledge of equipment operation and safety procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
  • Complete all required paperwork on time for the job (electronic inspection report).
  • Report any problems that arise during service with customers.
  • Preparation/maintenance of wiring diagrams.
  • Support installation of new circuitry.
  • Maintain accurate records regarding repairs performed at customer locations.
  • Must be proficient using hand tools such as drills, power tools, etc.

Qualification

  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions
  • Ability and willingness to learn electrical wiring, installation techniques, tools and equipment
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices associated with commercial electrical systems as well other related disciplines is required
  • Experience working on residential or commercial projects
