Duties

The civil technician will be responsible for performing all aspects of structural work including, preparing and installing foundation structures, repairing concrete foundations, installing steel frames and other related projects. This position requires the ability to read blueprints and perform basic math calculations, understand building codes, use computer programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Must have experience with various types or models in general construction materials.

Detailed job duties include:

• Performs routine and complex structural work including completing pre-construction surveys, performing minor repairs on existing structures and installing new ones as needed.
• Maintain accurate records required for project completion.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures when performing job duties.
• Report any safety issues immediately to a supervisor.
• Work with other members within an assigned area.

Qualification

• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.
• Experience working as part of a team would be helpful
