Overall Reviews at Chili's

Everyone works as a team.
Would benefit Chillie's Resteraunt in helping my family financially. Also giving me goals to meet on a daily basis at work. And putting my CTU Knowledge in my daily job at work , also learning at work. How to apply to CTU virtual campus class assignments.

Good place that really Went downhill in recent years
Worked there many years, every position in the building, was paid at the top of the scale, foh and hoh. Met sales goals when bartending and serving, crushed it on sales contests not just at my restaurant but locally and regionally. I was a corporate trainer and store opener. Also had management roles as well. It was a great place for many years. Fast paced, decent pay, all around fun andawesome place to work. LManagement changes hiring incompetent people that have a different vision of what the company should be really screwed this place
ProsFast pace always busy good $ good drinks
ConsPoor management, bad work/home balance, mediocre food, not much room to advance

like most favoritism is a problem
worked for three years here and advanced from dishwasher to one of the lead and most dependable cooks. I later realized that due to no tip share with BOH there was no point in making less money than the servers who are merely the face to the customer making roughly 5+ more dollars than most of BOH employees. I started to work towards a server position to increase my income and was told I had to work expo and to-go cashier before i could work as a server though there were three employees that transferred straight from BOH to serving position, and even bar tending position (a female.....no wonder.....) what has the world come to when you give your all and go above and beyond to show you can do, but others keep you down.
Proslunch whatever
Consoften times asked you to work without a break or through your lunch period, also having to do prep work due to understaffing.

Flexible hours, good people
As a general rule, I enjoyed my time at Chili's. It was a fast paced environment, but the people were very supportive, and willing to step in to help when needed.

Worst job I ever had
Worked for them in college when I was broke. You get out what you put in, to a point. Has all the verious benefits and miseries of quick service restaurant work.

Works you to death with no appreciation
Worked there for 4 years and was expected to cover every shift that someone called out. Management frequently understaffed to get bonuses and expected me to work multiple positions at once since I was trained in every position except server and bartender. Coworkers were great though and had one good manager.
ProsOpportunities to learn but only if you train yourself on off time
ConsNo breaks, understaffed, management didn’t care about employees

Great place to work
Great place to work if you are looking for a good work/life balance. You can adjust your scheduled when needed, request off way in advance, and managers are easy to get along with.

Serving
I learned a lot about customer service while here and i was fortunate to have a manager that was so mindful of all his employees. Was fun to work in a college town as well.
