Productive
It's not all about money with this place. We try to make our guests feel welcome and leave happy so they return. Food is always excellent, we make most everything from scratch. The servers are trained well and care about your dining experience.
ProsHalf price meals, flexible schedule, lucrative
ConsBusy times can get hectic, cuz it gets really busy

Cheddars
Cheddars was a cool place to work at for three years. Schedule is on hot schedules, or I think it is. If you want to start off with a server job, working at cheddars is the one.

Not what I enjoyed
i didn't enjoy working here. Wasn't in my career path. This was only a job to get my by. not something I wanted for the rest of my life. I did my job and when another opportunity presented itself I left,

Super fun, my favorite job in college
I loved working at Cheddars. I made great money and had tons of fun while doing minimal work. I would recommend it to whoever it looking towards working there. Management is great

Bus tables, host, serve, and keep restaurant clean
It was basically a lot of work for a little money. I learned every restaurant position except cook and management. The management was not too good they didn't talk to employees at all. Co workers didn't really get along or were very rude to each other. The hardest part of the job was doing everyone's job knowing that you weren't going to be paid for it. The most enjoyable thing was being able to get hours.

Great place to begin in the service industry!
This is probably the only job I can give a full 360 degree review on. I worked at Cheddars for roughly 3 years, and had they not denied my return, I'd likely still be working there today.
My least favorite part was the environment my woworkers brought with them. The lifestyle a server maintains is not a lifestyle I want to uphold. In simple terms: Vulgar, alcohol, drugs, one night stands etc. It was fun for a year or so, but i have bigger plans for my life than most of the folk I worked with there.
For the most part I really liked my management. I worked hard and made myself available. I think they took advantage of my free time, but I never put my foot down, so I can't exactly blame them for how much I worked. Besides, it usually made me a killing.
I didn't see my home much though.
Getting paid daily was great too, but I spent my money much more frivolously. For me cash is bad. Direct deposit is much better. Unfortunately that wasn't an option!
I've worked with people my entire career life, so I don't have much to say about the customers. They're people just like us, some a little crankier than others, and a lot of people like things certain ways. If you're gonna be in the service industry, be prepared to serve, no matter who it is. That's what you're getting paid for after all!
I consider Cheddar's at the bottom of the restaurant ladder. It's cheap with Americanized food. During the day tips average out around $5 a table.

Wonderful Place To Work
Cheddar's is by far one of the best companies i have worked for, But the day to day things can get a little crazy. Everyone may not be on the same page all the time. I love the job itself is rewarding the culture is wonderful as well if enforced.

fast paced environment with good coworkers and management
The Cheddar's I worked at in Springfield MO is known as being in the top 3 among Cheddar's in the nation. The years I worked there it was #1. We were a well oiled machine in the kitchen, churning out great quality food at neckbreaking speeds.
Prosfree lunches and discounts and food
