As a caring team, we strive to be the best at what we do. The caretaker will work closely with all members of staff as well as other employees within the organization. This position requires excellent communication skills. You must possess strong organizational skills including ability to prioritize tasks effectively, maintain confidentiality (eg: time management) and follow up on projects when necessary.

Duties

The caretaker is responsible for the care and maintenance of a variety of facilities, including lawns, gardens, decks and walkways. The caretaker must provide excellent customer service by providing quality services in accordance with established policies and procedures as well as maintaining an orderly environment within the facility.

Detailed job duties include:

  • Provide a safe and clean environment for residents.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of all assigned areas, including but not limited to cleaning window sills, doors, furniture and fixtures.
  • Keep the housekeeping area neat and orderly in appearance while maintaining proper maintenance standards on property as well as other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager when necessary (eg vacuuming).
  • Removal of trash from premises according to established procedures.
  • Adheres to company policies and regulations regarding safety practices at all times.
  • Perform routine inspections.

Qualification

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision is required
  • Able/willingness to learn new skills as needed
