Fun place
Direct managers care and support employees depending the branch as each branch has its own manager. Get half days once a month. 1 hour lunch break and jackets provided
For me it is a learning experience the pressure it is there I won’t lie but you’ll be able to cope. If you’re committed to your job then nothing can stand in your way of learning and wanting to grow within the company there are opportunities for growth but you need to be patient and Again committed
Very busy, attending to the client's need and queries and assisting as well as you can.
Dealing with difficult and unsatisfied clients was slightly hard, but managed to practice the skills that I have learned and learn each day.
I enjoyed the interaction between the various clients that I would meet daily and would form great relationships with the regular clients and would be so happy to see the impact that I have made in one client's life.
ProsTeam Awards.
ConsSlight conflict situations, but was resolved immediately.

Good for growth
If you're willing to put in the work, there are plenty of opportunities to grow within Capitec Bank. Change is a constant at Capitec, be willing to be able to adapt.
Capitec bank is a fun place to work at. It is however a sales environment, so you will be pushed and encouraged to maximise sales. You however earn a basic salary which provides you with stability and peace of mind. Capitec offers nice incentive, awards and salary increases every 3 months, depending on your performance.
ProsDiscount on Loans, and No Fees for APP transactions
ConsNo company contribution towards provident fund
A typical say at work, is getting there in the morning, signing on to the system, waiting for the start up meeting, after the start up meeting, we get down to business and start assisting clients, one hour break, we knock off at 6, I have learned that customer is king, and so the client always comes first before your own needs. Management is ok and assist where they can. friendly co-workers always making jokes, The hardest part was being given high targets, some we could not reach, but they would increase.
Exciting environment with fast paced learning opportunities
Learning and training development are great. Interacting with customers gives you a lot of exposure and how to deal with clients.
It's the kind of environment that allows you to network and learn a lot about cultural differences.
Management is great too, especially executive management.
ProsLearning opportunities
ConsLong hours.

Productive, challenging, fun, lots of opportunities to learn and advance
To be honest whilst I was working there I didn't see the benefit of all the things I had been taught and how they would serve me in the future until I saw the ease in transition and being able to adapt to my current job based on the skills and opportunities that Capitec bank had provided for me.
There are pros and cons everywhere, I guess what you choose are the things you can live with and be clear about your non-negotiables.
I have nothing but respect and gratitude for the organisation, without having been there I'm not sure if my work ethic would be what it is today, the organisation groomed me well and for that I'm eternally grateful.
ProsProper training is given, opportunities for growth and advancement available to all, travelling expenses and accommodation paid for by the organisation for work related trips
ConsSalary when I was there was way below what other banks offered but they have now improved, Sunday trade, Very low contribution towards provident fund
A typical day at work was when we had to go and recruit clients. I have learnt how to approach clients with different opinions and mind set. We had a great management team. My co-workers were very humble and polite towards clients. The hardest part of the job was when people give me negative attitudes or negative opinions about the company. The enjoyable part of the job was seeing more clients coming to the bank reaching the target.
a typical day at work can be very busy at times one might not get time to go on lunch, can be stressful especially if it is a bad month. but you learn a lot because a person does a variety of job does not only concentrate on one job description. when it comes to client relations, how to profile and handle client complaints and issues they are very good. they teach you how to empathise with the client and the principle of client comes first. they hold team buildings that always bring branch employees together and create a culture of togetherness and everyone will tend to work towards the same goal. the notion of transparency is practised. the hardest part of the job is the fact that clients come to the branch one has to make means t make sure during bad months they find a way to achieve targets and should always have action plans on how that can be achieved.

A typical day at the office starts with high energy from the beginning of the day. With the workshop starting with loud music to get everyone into mood, we always have smiling faces.
The management is good with a go to attitude with any issues that arrise during each day and the team is great and well presented.
The hardest part of my day is keep up with the constant changes of dates, workshops and workshop requirements as well as attendees.
The most enjoyable part is when the workshops are done and the delegates have enjoyed the workshops and are satisfied with all the arrangements that were done for them.
fun work enviroment, team orientated and a lot of experience gained
coming in at work at about 7h15 in oder to save the daily reports and preparing for a daily start up meeting and the rest of the day, dancing and games for about 5min during the meeting in order to energize the team. Duties are communicated to everyone for the day during the meeting and relevant documents are distributed. At 8H00 my admin duties and abservations start, with arrears investigation, paydate management, coaching, abservations and assisting with client service.
From this job I learned how to multi task and the importance of being professional, effecient,a team player and managing different people. In the company as an employees there was always more than one duty to some, for instance as a consultant I was also a teller and did admin duties but most importantly in all my roles what was giving out excellent client service with each and every client assisted.
I worked with a lot of different managers,Regional managers and operational managers and all were very professional and I learned alot of valueble innformation from all of them and the most important thing that was stressed was that as an individual you are in control of your own succcess and you must grab every opportunity given to you to shine and always remember that client service is the key to success for the business.
I've worked in 6 branches in the compnay and have gotten along with everyone I worked with for the most part but did experience some tension with co workers when I was appointed as an assistant bra
Planning my pipeline atleat one week in advance
Setting up Meetings with Companies and Getting new quality accounts for the business
Working on many platforms from the boardroom to the canteen
Managing and driving my own sales, from new business to existing clients
Great team to work with, with the same goals
Meeting new people every day, giving them a solution that will affect they bottom line
As a customer, probably the best bank in the world.
As an employee, you are literally a number that can be replaced in a matter of minutes.
My formative work years were spent at Capitec as I started from a sales consultant position until I left as a Branch Manager-in-training.
Promotion comes easy if you work hard but just because you are juniour management or supervisor level, the company still treats you like trash.
If one is willing to learn from the manure that this company will dish out, you will go far whether it is careerism or enterpreneurship.
Work life balance: working 7 days a week with maybe a weekend here or there.
Salary: very low base but with multiple and lucrative performance bonus and team awards. No allowance, no medical aid, you get paid about R200 for Sunday overtime, none for Saturdays
Job security: none. th company is doing well but not willing to provide any sort of security for workers. no union to represent workers either
Culture: world-class customer service and leading technology bank. you will learn to live with change on an everyday basis
Best company to work for. Salary matches job description. Incentives are best. Supportive managers. Friendly staff. There are opportunities for growth if you work hard and constantly apply for opportunities.
