Great Environment to work in.
Fun and exciting place to work with great people. They run contests all the time to give employees a chance to earn extra money. The upper management really cares about the employees and the work space. There are a variety of jobs so there is opportunity to go in a variety of directions to make this a lasting career.

A great manager is key
I worked for Camping World for a total of 3 years over a 5 year period. I started in the retail side and ended with service (parts). The main difference between those two positions was my manager. There was a lack of training and the men definitely got paid more on the retail side. I was paid much better when I switched to service and I had a lot more training. My manager was the best!
ProsFlexible schedule

Not a good company
Lots of bad shady stuff goes on in management some of the people I dealt with would take money from other departments and add to there's to make them selves look good and others look bad it was a standard practice in high management and if your good at it they promote you

ConsThe management were con artists

Camping World in a nut shell
This place is a great place to work and thrive if you seek to advance your skill set. They provide training for all technicians and advisors. There are may different positions that provide a great way to learn as much about the RV industry as possible.

Great place to work
Lots of changes recently. The RV lifestyle is very fun to be a part off. Sales and service can be a grind but I like that sort of thing. Overall good experience. Culture is suspect at times due to many changes the past 2 years.
Prosalways busy in season
Consseasonal- commission based positions

Meritocracy and Customer Service
Camping World can be a great place to work if you focus on making the customer happy. Sometimes that means going above and beyond the typical retail environment: greeting customers at the door, showing them around, and interviewing customers to help them find solutions to their specific needs.
Each associate is a vital part of the team. The CEO, Marcus Lemonis, prefers to have a lean, fast-moving organization. This often allows for personalization at the local level. Customers are the highest priority, and we can't take care of the customer without filling the needs of the associates.
Each year, employees are urged to complete 32 hours of community service. New parents are given 10 weeks of Maternity/Paternity leave. Employees have access to the Good Sam Roadside Assistance Program and get special pricing on everything in the retail stores.
It is expected that each employee does their best, and performers are compensated through bonuses and spiffs.
