Overall Reviews at Camp Bow Wow

It was fun and productive
I really loved it there for the dogs and my coworkers. The pay is definitely not something you can live of off alone but it’s something. And the owner can be a little weird and can make you mad at times (Definitely not all the time) but he’s really cool other than that.
ProsDogs, cool coworkers, very flexible with scheduling
ConsShort to no breaks, no health care benefits, weekend

Productive workplace but turnover rate is horrible.
A typical day at work is cleaning boarding cabins and feeding dogs. I've learned dog behavior as well as best way to administer medications. The workplace culture is very diverse as there are always new employees being hired.

Fun Place to work
Lots of dogs! Lots of fun! Safe place to work! Staff cares about the dogs! Good hours, 7am - 7pm. Typically split into two shifts. 6:30am-1:00pm and 1:00pm-7:00pm.

Good people to work for but not a position for everyone
This not an easy position. If you like dogs and want to learn more about them than this is a position for you. Fair warning that you will be cleaning up after the dogs and not playing with them.

Fun place to work but no advancement
Its a good place to work if your going to school or have another job. No advancement within the workplace. fun and fast pace. Strenuous and unpredictable.

Fun work space with great people and dogs!
Very unique culture of a small workforce allows for a good workplace culture. You definitely need endurance for this job because you do not get to sit down basically all day. The best part of the job is obviously the dogs and how much you get to interact with them.

must be a hard worker
This place pays well for what you're doing. Everything is kept pristine for dogs and is very sanitary. this is the only place I ever recommend for my current customers to go. they actually get what they pay for here.

A fun and interactive environment for any dog lover!
Camp is a very exciting work place, and an absolute joy when working with the animals. It keeps you busy with all of the interaction and cleaning, but this keeps it a very safe and clean daycare for anyone's furry friend. At times the staff and workplace can become very drama and gossip oriented, but overall the management is very supportive of its employes and helps to discourage and dispel any negative behaviors. Everyone here loves animals, and constantly gives attention to all of the dogs. Everyone is CPR certified and trained in basic medical care for dogs, allowing any staff member to effectively and responsibly handle minor dog injuries.
ProsFree breakroom snacks, friendly staff and management, very schedule flexible.
ConsPossible dog related injury, high maintenance clients, workplace drama.

Absolutely love it here!
It’s a great place to work if you adore pups, love a fast paced environment to work in and enjoy a close team to daily encourage one another. Like most jobs, there are occasional stresses or minor complaints, but it’s nothing that you can’t speak to someone about or work through!
ProsPups! Client relationships! Team!

Fun place to work.
CBW is a good place to work. You need to be flexible and ready to work with more millennial than you could imagine. The culture is not for everyone if you can’t handle inconsistency.
