Love my job here
Couldn't ask for a better place to work with new equipment, large treatment space and fun staff. Patient load is stable and consistent but not over stressful.

Great place to work
Wonderful culture! Opportunities to learn and grow. Work-life balance atmostphere. Most enjpyable part of the job are the people. Hardest part of the job is too many meetings (daily/weekly).

Productive workplace inconsistency with leadership at times.
There were opportunities for growth and the environment was relaxed just do your job, until mergers it became more stressful. Overall it wasn’t a bad place to work unless your religious beliefs were not in line with their huddles.
ProsHour lunch and many job incentives, free health assessment. The optical and dental insurance was great!
ConsHealthcare was complained about costs and coverage but I used my husbands healthcare.

Fast paced, interesting work environment
A great place to learn many things in the medical field, really enjoyed seeing so much. It certainly was more of a two person job- helpful coworkers, however management was hard to communicate with and hardly ever around. I say that on behalf of not only myself, but also the techs and many nurses on the unit too. Was more hectic for most employees but the opportunities the company offers was better than any company I've ever worked for.

You are looked down upon without the proper education and attempting to make things right without managers assistance.
Contributed 150% of quality of work in seeing the patients were taken care of properly. Worked as secretary in Engineering, Administration, Guest Services and arranged for repair of issues within hospital. Learned a lot about trust issues. Never trust people in the work force. There's always people who will trash you for their benefit, regardless of how hard you work. Do your job and go home. Went beyond the call of duty in parking cars to make it easier for patients upon discharge. (The hospital developed a valet position eventually). Drove the BonSecour nuns to Doctors appointments (not part of my job) assisted the clergy Catholic mass on Thursdays (not part of my job) I don't consider myself a martyr, just an educated employee. No matter what you do, you are never appreciated if it's done under the managers radar, since it's all about the managers limelight, not someone who works hard, it's only someone who relishes in glory and makes an appearance and who dictates that gets the reward. I never wanted or expected any reward. It was about the patients care and quality of care. Its really spinning your wheels when you go beyond the call of duty. I sleep well, the person that deserves the reward are the little people who keep the foundation strong, not the higher ups. It's all about prestige, money and glory and nothing more. The little people suffer. Enjoyable part of job: Picnics, dinners, rewards for longevity.

High Turnover
When I first started here, it was great. The hospital expanded and then they starting cutting staff and changing benefits. I had worked here for over a decade, so these things did not happen overnight but as they offered us less and worked us more, many great people left

Faith-based Employer
Bon Secours is a faith-based employer with a commitment to the community which makes this a great place to work.
I have worked in different roles and with a variety of leaders.
Each person's leadership style is different, but you would find that at any employer.

Positive Environment
Bon Secours was a positive place of employment. The pace was fast but rewarding and management was encouraging. My managers were professional and interfaced very closely.
