Adaptive Work Environment
Your shift starts slow and progresses as the clock keeps running. I learned to become fast paced and work well under pressure while being assigned tasks. Management is really helpful when it comes to life/home situations.

Rough business but the pay is decent
You're constantly wet, and you might get tips but some supervisors pocket them. Management says they care but they really don't. Be prepared to lose hours during bad weather and forced out of your days off when the sun is shining. Company was much better before they installed cameras throughout the wash bays. Decent pay for the work you're putting in though. Beats food service and is great for people without work experience.
ProsPay, good coworkers
ConsHard to advance without relying on nepotism or brown-nosing

Unpleasant work environment
A typical day at Blue Beacon was fast pace with little time to rest. Management was very dishonest and biased, management hired their family members and those individuals where shown favoritism. The workplace culture was strained. The hardest part of the job was dealing with bay leaders and the most enjoyable part was meeting lots of interesting people.

Work History
It'll start from 5 minute meeting everyday, discussing on the job description of the day or what we should be focus on. Learning from different people and ethnicitys, also on how working together as a team and finishing every truck as a team. management team were great treated us as workers great complementing and how we should make things better at our job. The hardest part of the job is costumer care becasue their would b complants but i would be there to handle the situation in a good calmly matter. The most enjoyable part of the day would be seeing the drivers, driving away happy.

Blue Beacon
Management at the time of my employment was extremely unprofessional. They used every available opportunity to sexually harass me as the only female employee. They catcalled me and the men would make inappropriate comments and gestures through the glass windows. This is not a great company for women to work.

truck wash
its almost like a factory job, process repeat process repeat. it gets old very quickly for a person whos personality doesn't match that job setting but the pay was very fair, the advancement opportunities are always there and open to the person pushing for that title. Also, the job security is threw the roof and the atmosphere is good.
Prosgreat hours and good pay
Consvery boring

Great starter job
I've worked for this company for the past 2 an a half years on and off. the only reason I left is too explore my option and see what else is out there for me. I went back and froth too different jobs but overtime I came back here they would pay me more.

Good place to work
I was a Receptionist here and i loved my customers, well the ones who were nice of course. Only thing i hated was i was always being harassed by these truck drivers just because im pretty and when i would ignore them or try to get them to leave my manager would yell at me for making them unhappy. All i wanted was respect from them and if i were to let them talk to me like they would then they would do it every time they came in. Eventually we got a new GM and he was wonderful he didn't tolerate harassment from the drivers and made my job much easier.
Prosgood money, easy job, free food, great friends, fun
Consharassment from drivers, cleaning after the boys

Great work environment for anyone who’s willing to work hard.
Blue Beacon was a good company to work for. The hours are long, and the work is hard but it became too much working 4-12pm shift while in high school. The managers were very understanding when i had a family emergency and never treated me disrespectfully. Eventually the issue worsened and i had to quit to be with my family.

If you were in charge, what would you do to make Blue Beacon Truck Wash a better place to work?
Asked Nov 14, 2019
Treat the employees with respect, hold them accountable but also let them know I care.
Answered Sep 28, 2020
I would interact and get to know an individual by letting them speak their mind and not be judgmental about it. If I have judged them on their words I would see what type of person they are by their actions. If I believe I can better that individual for his benefits, mine, and the company, then I would hire that person. Hiring people so that the company is properly staffed for every operation to move smoothly would make Blue Beacon Truck Wash a better place to work.
