Bad environment and arrogant upper management
Upper management and HR care nothing about the employees and route owners. They manage with intimidation and fear. Worst place I have ever worked and do not recommend this debilitating job to anyone. The pay is descent but not worth the hours and treatment.
ProsPay is ok, free car and gas
Conseverything else - horrible culture

Awful place to work
Results only driven, they have no care in the world about quality of life. Absolutely no work/life balance, only positive is company car and salary. 7 days a week 24 hours a day. You must be on call 24/7!

Terrible Management
Unreasonable Expectations. Management shows major favoritism.
Work lots of weekends and holidays. Overtime is expected. Very petty work environment, lots of drama.

Hellhole
Distributor for Arnold’s and I lost everything thing I had because of this place. They make more money selling routes than they do bread. Be prepared to go weeks with out a check and no explication of why.

I was an Independent Contractor.
I was an Independent Contractor. Bimbo Bakeries bought our product lines 4 years ago from George Weston company. We as independent operators are not employees. I worked with them, not for them. I was not an employee, they were my business partner. They did a very good job of providing fresh product daily. The route sales was very enjoyable in working with the stores daily in delivering the products lines to them. The hours that I had to work after the years I owned the route were very long and demanding. 12 hour days were common. The store employees from the receivers to the Dept. heads were great to work with. Selling in displays, and daily communicating things.
Prosfreedom to decide on daily schedule
Conslong hours worked each day, each week, each year. rising expenses to run route.

Top baking company in the world which means you can become just a number some times. Some plants experience high turn over due to revolving door in management positions.
