Worst place to work
The Manager at Best Western Hotel is very rude & disrespectful to all employees, He threatens all of them! & doesn’t care about any of his employees!
The Manager yells at all his employees, & does not value there worth, doesn’t offer incenatives or any bonuses.

A challenge
I loved my job. With extensive travel, a major hinderance was paying for all travel expenses out of pocket, wait 3-4 weeks for reimbursement.
Management lacked communication, empathy & “being in touch” with Co-workers. When my mother passed away, I was told to take time off....but get the reports (PIPs) submitted on time.
ProsI loved my job!
ConsReimbursement for all travel expenses.

Dedication to guests stay being very comfortable and welcoming.
Team is especially focused on leaving the guests stress and worry free through out their whole stay. Scheduling is to where personal life can be handled as prioitized. Cleaniness showed a great deal by tips being left in checked out rooms.

Communicating with people
Working here is amazing to say honestly. The managers are fantastic for keeping guests happy. What I learned is to communicate with people while working here. I would say the hardest part is the job is when I didn't understand some languages people were speaking but I had a clue with the hand gesture. The enjoyable part of working here is that the boss celebrates your birthday and doesn't forget who you are but understands you which is awesome and you will never meet anyone like them who are nice. Any day at is fun because I enjoy doing what I do here cleaning and keeping the guest happy and for my boss.

Very unprofessional environment, unorganized
Not very professional. Everything was unorganized and overlooked. I got a long with my co-workers. Management was too involved and often overloaded unable to perform the management duties. I really enjoyed meeting and speaking with all the traveling guests. I did not have confidence in the hotel which made it very hard to sell and do my job proficiently.
ProsVery laid back, Worked with other schedules well
Consunprofessional, unorganized, not up to standards

Not the best place to work
Because I was cross trained to work night audit, breakfast, and front desk clerk, I was working all three shifts the same week. I never had two days off in a row, and it was normal for the schedule to change throughout the week. Because I was cross-trained for all positions, I was called on a lot to fill in, sometimes with only a couple hours notice. Most people came in on time, but a few were always late - including a manager. I was told I'd get a raise after a few weeks, but it didn't come through until I gave my resignation notice. I enjoyed the guests, especially the regulars.
ProsBeing cross-trained gave me a variety of experience.
ConsRunning out of extra towels & blankets for guests, poor management.

Very welcoming company that will train you on what you don't know
When I first began this job, I was a little intimidated not going to lie. WIthin 2 weeks of starting, I had it down. I was aware of my daily duties and was very confident about my job. My coworkers helped me feel very welcome along with my manager and the owner. The overall daily tasks were very easy and I got them done in no time. When the job did get a little tricky was training for the night audit position, but with one on one training with my manager I knew exactly was I was doing. If I could I would work for Best Western again!
ProsEasy going even after the check-in rushes, staff is always friendly, hands on training to ensure you know what to do, amazing job to have if you enjoy talking with people, you recieve breaks as long as you're not too busy, you can recieve discounts on rooms as long as you work with the company, there's also the possibility of tranferring if needed, and overall this is an amazing company to work for
ConsMain thing I didn't recieve was healthcare or dental but that's the only con I have

Great Place to work
Great place to work in a family oriented environment. Most of the staff members have been working at the company for over 15 years and everyone seems to enjoy coming to work daily.

very steady work which i like to stay busy
I would clock in. set schedules up for the housekeepers dividing rooms for each to do including myself. we would stock our carts full of supplies and start cleaning rooms as checkout off our list stripping linens taking to laundry. after cleaning the rooms i then had to go and inspect rooms as i became head of house keeping. after all said and done we would take trash out i would help in laundry if needed as well.
Prossteady work which i enjoyed
Consother employees had very sour attitudes

An engaging environment and fast paced
Work was fast paced in a hotel that was always at full occupancy. My position involved attending to guests' needs, helping with bags, greeting guests at the front door, and room service. Along with that, learning the process of guests when checking in and checking out. I Learned Front Desk check in for guests and the procedure for it. My position as Bellman gave me a window into every department and strengthened my understanding of how a Hotel operates.

Enjoyed dealing with decent guests
Scary to work at night. Undisciplined guests hard to deal with. Guests are yelling with each other. Manager does not care as long as there is revenue.

Friendly atmosphere can be praised for a blissful work experience up to 1 year by the firm.

ConsPart time shifts available but not full time
