Overall Reviews at Bayer
4.0
I had a great group of people to work with.
I enjoyed both my work and the people I worked with. I enjoyed flexible hours and work from home benefits. I was able to learn many new skills with online learning, as well as keep my many skills current.
3.0
Bayer work culture
Too many layers in management, silo work culture. Within the department, too much in-fight, non-competent personnel holding high management positions.

The leadership and my colleagues are amazing
A typical day at work is extremely busy and difficult to get multiple high level executives aligned if needed for a meeting plus factoring multiple countries, etc.
Management identified cultural beliefs that every company should embrace in my opinion:and they are at the core of everything we do.
They have built an accountability culture to drive results.
The most enjoyable part of the job is the work itself and the employees.
Amazing support system, business resource groups, great benefits, work life balance is preached and practiced.
People walk the talk.
An incredible and caring executive team in Pharma!

Worst company ever
I was mistreated as a contractor and lied on. I will never work for that company and I don’t recommend it to anyone. The company doesn’t care about contractor. I experience racism and was mistreated on a daily basis. I was very depressed working there and I was talked about like a dog. I was also let go unlawfully.

Monsanto Review
No typical work days here, each day was different depending on the needs of the company. I learned every new program they had to offer and they sent me to school for further education. The work place was very diverse and family oriented. The hardest part of this job was the Plant's budget estimations for the year. The most enjoyable part of this job was the Nature enthusiast, I was able to build a Nature Trail for 5th graders and won the Governor's Award for Monsanto.
ProsGood pay and benefits
ConsHighest move was plant secretaty, one step up.

contract work is plentiful but uncertain
it is easy to get hired in a lab there, but there is no room for advancement for the contract lab workers. they rotate them in and out every couple of months. if you are so lucky to keep your contract going, you onlyl have 3 years to work for them in that role then you are let go.

Fantastic place to work
Bayer is a fantastic company to work for. The pay and benefits are very competitive for the market. The offer great home/work/life balance. Managers are very caring and truly want what is best for the employees. My plan was to stay with Bayer for the remainder of my career. I am only leaving because they are closing the Pittsburgh/Robinson Campus.
ProsGreat pay and benefits

Productive, enjoyable workenvironment
My days at Monsanto were pleasant, the environment was mostly happy. What I like most about the company is the encourgement that was given to learn so you could exceed to your fulliest potential. They had a lot of on-campus seminars and classes to advance in your field of work and team outings for morale boosting.
ProsClose to home, friendly people, room for advancement

Good for learning and training opportunities
Highly professional with world class R&D facilities. Highly trained people with good work life balance culture. The company gives equal opportunity to all and there is good level of transparency in the decisions from the leadership team. There are regular Town Hall meetings and a good amount of engagement between leadership and employees. Overall it’s a nice company to work at and work for.

No stress, huge systems, but no implementation
Bayer is good place to work as employee, getting good salary with minimal efforts, but you should play politics, but in case you start to be innovative and take some business improvement initiatives everyone will attack you, as majority like to keep relax going home early and getting good salaries
ProsNo stress and very good salary
ConsUnhealthy culture
