Overall Reviews at BayCare

Great
I loved working for baycare, until my manager left and they let horrid people take over. The new management was horrible, rude, dishonest. I’m not sure if they are still there, seeing as I left. But it was a great place to work and I wouldn’t mind going back (If the management) approved. - baycare alliant.

Great Company
Baycare is an awesome company to work for. They care about their employees and the workplace is friendly. Most of Management are great however, the manager at that time in the Cath Lab was not so great. He has since been removed. I would definitely work with them again.

Good
Solid job. Steady reliable work. Left there to pursue more money at a work from home position. I learned a lot about medical collections process, billing, payment/contract issues working in a team environment.

Its good if you like Healthcare
Good environment very respectful, however it takes a while tp upgrade in departments,. The hourly pay wasn't worth the sacrifice of hours you work for. Micro managed often times. They point out the good in you or the bad

Great patients and supervisors.
No enough ways to advance, when working PRN there were not enough patients in one office so had to branch out to different offices. Supervisors were great and always there if needed help. Even though I work PRN, it would be greatly appreciated to receive gas mileage reimbursement if driving over 100 miles per day. I currently average 200-250 miles per day.

Okay
Nurse to patient ratio on average was 5-6 patients night shift and 4-5 day shift, sometimes we would get 7. This is way too much for one person to handle. It was very unsafe at times. But the people were great.

Great people worked there!
A lot of good people in this organization. It was fun to be behind the scenes and to support the medical field. It's definitely a challenge in many ways.

Few opportunities for advancement
Favoritism in management. Not allowed to take PTO even if request months in advanced. Management does take time to train staff, more focused on production than quality or safety. Difficult to apply to other positions in the company if manager doesn’t want you to leave. The pay is very low for the qualifications required for position. You have to “know somebody “ to get in. Complaints about management or suggestions to better department environment is often ignored. Overworked team leaders and quality employees while others slacked on their responsibilities, often leaving workload over to the next shift after. More than half of staff that’s been there for years left during Covid pandemic because it was very unorganized.
ProsBenefits and discounts, rewards program
ConsPay. Favoritism. Not easy to apply to other positions.
