"Can't you go look in the garbage for working stuff?"
I was recruited by their HR department and told one thing, and when I left my position to join them it was a completely different situation. The training team is at best incompetent and behaves like a group of high school girls focused on who they like and they will intentionally sabotage training if they do not get their way. They record any open microphone on a computer and listen for gossipping purposes. At one point the youngest member of the training team was caught hiding behind my desk trying to listen to a private conversation. This same person also physically assaulted a coworker, and management decided to ignore the complaint completely then promote her, even though there were witnesses to the incident.
The management team is openly hostile towards anyone who points out they are breaking the law, and for as much as they talk about diversity, there is only one person of color out of 100 people in a department. Why is that? It might have something to do with the department manager having lawsuits from his previous company for discrimination against people of color and women.
This company is a cancer on the workforce, and their HR department will openly hold meetings threatening anyone who dares to bring rights violations to their attention. Yearly "diversity and respect" sessions are held so that corporate attorneys can stress to the staff "don't you DARE try to come at us legally or we will destroy you."

Overall, could be MUCH better
initial discussion for employment covered preferred pay rate, and getting hired direct. Ended up a dollar less per hour, and a YEAR as a temp. Obviously the person I talked to about employment had absolutely no influence on decision makers/people that do the hiring. That seems to be the norm here. Management pretty much does what they are told from miles away. So, a year later, i get a whopping 50 cent raise when i get hired. OH BOY ! MY INSURANCE COSTS 30 DOLLARS MORE PER MONTH THAN WHAT THE RAISE IS WORTH !!!! WHAT A JOKE. 20 years ago, I was making the same money I'm making now. They need to get with reality and pay their ground level people better, considering corporate profits, and the salaries of upper management, which are ridiculously out of whack compared to what the ground level people make. It's easy to see why upper management is always smiling. I would be too, if I was making 6 figures, OR MORE. So, your "position title" pretty much keeps your pay level low here. I work with someone who's been here for 6 years, and this person makes a whole 3 dollars more now than when hired. See the trend? 50 cent raises..... wow. how generous. so, as time goes on, 50 cents is LESS AND LESS of a percentage of your current pay rate. NOT EVEN ENOUGH TO COVER COST OF LIVING INCREASES. And yet, corporate profits are very good, and upper management bonuses are awesome. GOOD bonuses for ground level employees? YA, RIGHT. From what I've been told by numerous people, good bonuses, or s

OB/GYN department providers and staff very pleasant and welcoming.
I was thrilled to have found an opening in OB/GYN after leaving Allina Women’s Health of 14 years. The provider I worked with was wonderful and pleasant to work with. It’s unfortunate that my stay was only five months due to harassment, false information and provoking from management. During my interview floating to other sites and departments was never presented to me, I was told by my co workers two weeks into the job when I inquired about why I was scheduled as “extra”. I went directly to management to get clarification since I did apply for the specialty I clearly was hired for. After being employed for the last 14 years in strictly OB/GYN and expected to float in a specialty that you never have before was not pleasant news on a days notice. I learned a lot in a short time and can’t express enough how unprofessional it was to not be given your job expectations at the interview to accept the offer or not and then be mistreated for going to your manager wondering why this was never mentioned as part of the job description. The hardest part of the job was having to be presented with horrible demeaning lies of unprofessional disrupting actions I was told that was feed back from months ago. Never a patient complaint nor addressed at the time it was said to have happened. I was written up for things I was never involved in and reported by someone I never even formally met nor worked with , yet she observed what order I roomed my OB patients and said it was an issue, completely

I will start off by saying that I truely enjoy my job. There is always something going on whether it's an equipment repair, delivery, inventory or training.
A typical day begins with checking work orders. From there it's dictated by set cut-off times the deliveries or returns need to be completed. Repairing, inspecting and cleaning of hospital beds and equipment occur during the time you are not on the road. The job entails a lot of time driving to accounts (hospitals). Personally, I view this aspect of the job as down time. I can relax, clear my head and plan my future activities. The company does stress safety very much and really focuses on driving. The trucks are heavily monitored by electronic and GPS which can be frustrating at times.
Management is fair, although I am experienced enough to know that this aspect of a job can vary from location to location. I do like the fact that management is not co-located with my site and we are not micromanaged in any way. We are allowed to operate as we see fit in order to get the job done.
My co-workers are reliable and hard working. We all help each other to get things accomplished and rotate or swap work times in order to accomodate each other. This is very vital due to the nature of our scheduling and on-call duties.
The most difficult aspect of the job is the hours/scheduling. Working with hospitals is a 24/7 job. This requires a lot of on-call time and can really make planning home-life activities difficult. In a

Waste of Time
I lived in Georgia and commuted to North Carolina until i could find me a place to live in North Carolina. They never told me that it would take a month before i would get my first check. They didn't help me in anyway with my living expenses. I was forced to borrow money for my hotel stay and for rental cars. I eventually ran out of money and was forced to sleep in my car. I tried reaching out to homeless shelters but was told that because i wasn't a native of North Carolina it wouldn't be anything that they was able to do. I even tried reaching out to the area churches but my calls went unanswered.I reached out to the representative that offered me the job to see if the company could help me. I later found out that the representative worked for the local temp agency and had very little knowledge about the company himself. Not to mention the representative not only had limited knowledge about the company but was also kinda of new. The agent was also very short and nasty to me and kept putting me off until finally telling me that it was nothing that he could do for me. Finally, when I got my first check which was my bonus check it had been taxed not 1 but 3 times. After learning of the issue i reached out to human resources which told me that it was a default in the system and that it was nothing that i could do about it. I than reached out to the corporate office and was told that it was nothing that could be done about it upon my threatening to resign the issue was resolve
The financial SSC is good for people who are average performers, have average ambition, and are content to have a defined job and follow set processes which are quite repetitive. This suits some people and doesn't suit others. If you are super ambitious with a keen interest in finance and want to progress into a meaningful position, rather than basic processes, it's not the place to work. This was the 3rd SSC I'd worked at, and compared to the others, Baxter's SSC tasks were the very basic, repetitive tasks and seen by business units as very much a processing centre rather than partner (if you understand what I'm saying), with many of even the general GA tasks that care carried out in other SSCs not being carried out here. This is also reflected in the salary offered. When trying to move into another company, I struggled to make my experience seem relevant to more 'hands-on' or 'accounting-related' tasks.
There are promotional prospects, but they're just to various team leader, assistant manager etc. positions doing the same type of work. If you want to get 'real' financial accounting experience, it's not the best place to work. Note that unlike most other SSCs (at least the ones I've worked in) Baxter has a system of 'Junior Analyst, Analyst, and Senior Analyst' where you have to be promoted into each rank - this means that you after 2 'promotions' to senior analyst, you are still at a level which in any other company would be considered 'analyst'. If I were cynical, I w
ProsWill suit someone who likes set structures and routine.

Poor management.

Hard workers are often cursed at and jump on by management or by PTs and nothing is done.
They are tough on good workers and let slackers get away with anything and everything.
Depending on where you work, you probably work 6-7days straight.
They so NOT care about the employees well being. They have told me over and over EVERYONE IS REPLACEABLE.

This Company lies, cheats and steals, from its injured employees. They intentionally put them on "LIGHTDUTY" which is mentally disabling. Then they semd you to THEY'RE PAID NUDSE to say your better and can return to work. Ive seen hundreds of carpal tunnel injuries go uncared for, people working there with dirty ace bandages wrapped around theyre wrists instead of the proper arm brace. I've wittnessed them offering "certian employees" a raise to lie on other workers that were legitimately injured on the job DUE to Baxters lack of proper training length and allowing "long term enployees" to bully new employees. Ive wittnessed the Nurse and HR literally ignore a new workers disibilities and complaints and it caused a far worse situation when the new worker wound up severly injured due to clear mistreatment from the "Bully". They break theyre own rules and over work people they do not like then dey theyre claim when they get hurt. Baxter's is the WORST factory job Ive EVER had and Ive had several. As far as a sterile environment goes, I would be in sincere fear if I saw a hospital put up a Bag to my IV that said Baxter ANYWHERE on it. This company is a scam and treats its employees like slaves with a smile on they're faces. Work ANYWHERE but the pay here won't do you any good when you get injured and then discarded. They also have quite a terrible BBB record. Check it out, dont take my word. The Feds need to look deep into theyre MANY workers compensation scams, they're workers Compensation Insurance Company are scam artists as well. You work for this company and get hurt, your done. They a cheap bullies, THATS how they they're make money !!!! FACTS!
