DSG has some great things in place to help you succeed
DSG has some great training and daily practices in place to help you succeed. Individuals must perform with in those standards to reach the goals set for them working with management. There is growth opportunities within the company by executing first at the local level. It is sometimes hard to have a work/ life balance with the sales schedules that they have but you need to put limits on your time schedule yourself to make sure you still have time for your family because it is core value that comes from the corporate office.

Horrible
No one appreciates the operations team. I am being yelled, embarrassed, and disrespected by the sales team daily and management “can’t do anything about it because there is no foul language being used” it’s like a cruel joke. I can only speak for the one New Jersey location but still!

Terrible experience
If you don’t want a personal life this is the place to go. The owner will remind you that you’re terrible and replaceable everyday. The owner and manager will treat you like garbage I was a delivery driver and you’re given window times to do deliveries. They will purposely force you to stay past close while they get to go home on time because they really don’t care about your well being. Very high turn over rate.

Sales associate
Hostile work place, unprofessionally run, very disorganized. No training or support is offered. Paid upon delivered but furn isn't available so meanwhile you get paid min wage. Dealt with angry customers, complaints, problems and delivery issues daily. Horrible place to work!!

Horrible no life work balance
The company does not care about you all they care about is if you make sales. They tried to force us to work during Covid they got fined for opening the store during the shut down. The management are all angry and control freaks. You might as well pitch a tent and live in the back rooms. Because the only time you get to go home is to take a shower and sleep for a couple hours.
ProsDiscounts on furniture and mattresses
ConsLong long workdays. Work every weekend. Management doesn’t care about you

Gained more knowledge.
I learned alot about furniture sales and some techniques but it was a difficult culture to break into in terms of having longevity. The turnover rate was high.

laid back friendly place to work/ stress free
The job was perfect it was just behind the job issues going on. Being black these days are hard enough for ppl to accept you, but you still have those ppl that will sabotage you when you're being the best at what they cant. Especially when you have poor management.
ProsLaid back, friendly, no one over your back, have your own space, no dress code

Customer Service/Sales Representative |

Engaging and Competitive Work Environment
As a sales representative, one must maintain and exceed daily goals, including building relationships with customers, hitting daily sales goals, maintaining margin, and keeping average ticket sales as high as possible. Representatives are given many tools and resources, as well as monthly training and check-ins, to help them achieve these goals. Meanwhile, as a customer service representative, management almost never helped with customer escalations and expected representatives to "figure it out and make them happy." There is only so much a gift card can do in the face of a screaming man. Since I worked there, management has changed, so I hope this is no longer the case. Out of the two positions I worked there, sales representative made more money and had the most help. However, I did enjoy helping customers and solving problems.

More than one job title for each person
The position I was given ended up with 3 titles. I didn't get proper training for one of the job titles but I was never hired to be permanent. I was told it was a permanent position however ensuring my training stuck it to me. Just politics.
ProsOnly management and sales gets free food
ConsLong hrs a d a fight for overtime
