Office was closed..... big mistake
The Shelton, CT was closed down. The management and coworkers were excellent. However, the company was strict with their metrics. Every month you had to take a test on the computer to see if you were up to date on the company changes. If you failed this test three months in a row you could get fired from your job.. That was a lot of stress to put on people who were already dealing with the stress of the irate callers. The company did offer us excellent benefits. If it weren't for the monthly tests and strict metrics, it would have been an excellent place to work.

Altice is new to the company
Altice is new to the company. Both Customers and employees were accustomed to the Cablevision-Optimum way of life. As Altice made changes throughout the company, there were zero incentives for both customer and employee.

Cares only about the bottom line
This company only cares about reducing costs. They sold their customer service department to a company they created and then outsourced all the jobs. They gutted another internal department and then gave the same level of work to the 10% that was left. Compensation is a joke if you are new, the only reason it’s worth it for me is because I started with a different company that was bought by them and part of the agreement maintained my pay level and paid time off. Management doesn’t care about employees, they are out to lower costs by firing entire departments and getting themselves a bonus for it.

We became a family.
Altice USA is a fast paced environment. There was a friendly atmosphere. I enjoyed resolving customers issues and providing them with the information they needed.

This Company just took over Cablevision
Altice has closed all Connecticut offices so did not have the opportunity to work for them. This is a high paced, totally service oriented business.

Cablevision was a great company to work for, great benefits, great staff
A typical day at work would be log in and find out which tasks your are assigned to that day. Especially since I had been there for 6 years, I was a subject matter expert on multiple tasks. I learned about switches, back end coding, and what it took to port a number from one company to another. Management was great, we had monthly meetings with the entire team, and once a month alone with your Manager. Co-workers were great to work with, willing help, and all had a generally lively attitude. The hardest part of the job was learning to use a new tool, or learning a new task. The most enjoyable was that we would have monthly Birthday celebrations, we would get to sign off for a half hour, they would have cake, cookies, and fruit.

Great company to work for. Great Health benefits. work envirernment is good excelent staffing for assistance. the company provides a wonderful work envirnment with avalible tool i will recomend this job to everyone
