Overall Reviews at Allstate Insurance
1.0
Stressful
Your metrics continually change and your ability to meet those metrics depends on the time of day you work. This company is sales driven and offers no training for anyone who has never done sales of any kind

Good caring people even though its a large corporate environment
Decent benefits. Career growth by moving to different departments. Typical corporate slower pace in some areas, but getting better. Can be a bit archaic at times. One can stay for years if you contribute and move around to learn all aspects of the business.
Prospeople are genuine
Conslong commute; corporate policies hard to change; conservative.

Fun work environment
Fun and excellent work environment. Flexible hours, consistent work load. Spoke to a lot of customers on a daily basis. Willing to help people proactively help find better rates on insurance.

It was a fun company to work for!
The division of Allstate that I worked for was disbanded. Most of the people that worked for that division were either compensated, were allowed to move to another department, or were provided with free services to find a new job.

Very productive and gives you a lot of experience quickly. Downside depends on the agency and how they treat you (every one is different)
The worked agency i worked at started very well, it felt very family like, i learned a lot quickly, and was never bored or without work. As time went on the owner began to change the inter-workings of the office and it became more and more toxic. However, this does not reflect Allstate as a whole.

Create your own path
Great place to build relationships. This is a place where you are really responsible for your success. The key is building relationships. It is a wholesale and retail opportunity for financial professionals.

Good starting place
Very comfortable job. On the agency side there isn’t much advancement unless you want to own an agency. It’s good for someone that wants to make a decent living and is okay with settling. Work
Environment was good, pay decent, good flexibility.

Customer service/ sales representative
Not all Allstate offices are the same. The people in charge only care about the bottom line and how they can line their pockets and get the most points so the boss can get his/her bonus from corporate. This sales goals are impossible to reach. Allstate corporate does not make it easy to write new business ir to regain business.

Business is Business
People are nice, but if the needs change and you can be replaced by someone who produces more, you will be. Even if its not your job. Hardest part was never knowing what was going to be an issue next. Its a family owned business, anything can be the new thing, life insurance, rental insurance, needs change constantly.
Proshappy work environment
Consdepends on money coming in.

Allstate and the managers do their best to ensure employee satisfaction for the most part. They are constantly keeping you engaged and in the look of the companies changes.
ProsLocation flexibility
