They don't care about people
They shut down departments without caring about people that work there for a very long time. They don't even help employees transfer to other department when they shut down. They don't care about people.

Christian Orientation and Culture
The hospital is owned by the Seventh Day Adventist church and most senior leaders (VP and above) are from that faith. The company is operated very intentionally on christian principles. Employees with different belief systems are welcome, as long as they can work within a christian framework.
ProsClore relationships and community
ConsLimited upward mobility

A typical Day At Work
A typical day at work is good. I enjoy one on one tome with my patients. I enjoy being able to provide uncommon compassion and unconditional love. Patient care is top priority for me.

Great team support
I was hired under Munroe Regional Medical Center when Advent Health bought them out. The company made the transition easy. They have done a lot of improvements to that hospital and it was a pleasure working for them.

Laid back, yet professional, caring family culture
To be honest, there's really no "hardest part of the job". Every job has something of a learning curve, and in that regard AdventHealth wasn't any different.
We worked from home with company issued laptops and had ongoing support for when we had questions on how to handle a specific call's issue.
I can't say enough good things about management, my supervisors, our support leads, and my teammates. I would STILL be there if not for the insecurity of working on a contract basis. :(
ProsExcellent, supportive team. A real family culture with Christ-centered focus
ConsStay away from the evils of critical race theory!

Secure job
Highs and lows but consistent. You know what your walking into pretty much every shift. Good community to work for if your looking to settle in for the long haul. I was there 19 years and had several rolls, loved working for the company and enjoyed getting up for work every day. I was pushed out of my position because I’m a white male and they wanted a Hispanic female, it’s not uncommon anymore in central Florida.
ProsGreat Community
ConsGrowing racial tension

Only reason I want to change is my new address
I love my work family!! Management is employee focused, supportive and encouraging. The drive is wearing on my family however since we moved to Hudson. Staff works so well as a team throughout the hospital and people genuinely care about each other.
